metoprolol? beta blockers

Hi guys.

So i enter my 3rd trimester tomorrow so thought i qould bw ok posting here 😂

I have a condition called POTS (postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome) that i had prior to pregnancy but it has worsened significantly.

I saw a specialist today who has started me on a very low dose (12.5mg) of metoprolol.
Has anyone taken this and baby been ok? Im 28 weeks tomorrow..

I know its a category c medication but my qualityof life has been awful, i havent been able to stand a lot od days due to my heart jumping to 140-160 when i stand up

So why do i feel so guilty

Oh and also, i only took my first dose 7 hours ago and im not seeing a change really.. except for the fact im so tired i could fall asleep standing!

How long did it take for u to get used to it?
