Has anybody bought a mid-sleeper for their kiddies?? Something like this

We have been looking at them for our soon to be 4 year olds, but I am worried about the height. Bunks are just too high at the minute and we thought this might be a compromise, but I have no idea how a 3/4 year old would manage with this.

Can anybody shed any light? :dohh: Good or bad idea?

Can't speak to how your kiddo might handle it. We got out LO a flip bunk- meaning, it's low to the ground now- but we can flip it the other way and it's a lower bunk bed. My LO is only just about 3yrs- and I could see her being ready for a bunk at around 5yrs? But we will see how it goes ;)

This is what we got: https://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/80253814/

My DD has a metal mid-sleeper but she's 8.

My boys have bunks. I've never allowed a child to sleep in the top bunk younger than the age of 5 and a half, but then again that's higher than a mid-sleeper.

I have just got my 3 1/2 a mid sleeper about 2 months ago he is fine and loves it.

We have a midsleeper for Joshua, bought it a couple of months ago. He loves it.

Jacob is able to climb up no problem but he struggles to climb back down. I'm in no rush to buy one for Jacob for this reason.

My DS would be fine in a mid sleeper, we are thinking of getting one for when we move as the new baby will need his cot by about 4/5 months old.
I like all the storage options available underneath etc however I do think that some of them are very pricey for what they are. I was looking in next and they don't seem that stable. If I am spending over 500 quid I want it ti be solid.
xx

Have a look at Very. We got:-

I got it the sale mind you.

I would say most 4 year old would be fine.
DD1 has one between a mid sleeper and a bunk bed and although DD3 who has just turned 4 isn't quite ready for that I don't think she would have any problems with a mid. :)

I've been wondering this too as I'm thinking of getting one for bobby when we do his room up!
