I was hoping someone may have some ideas to help us out- we have a son called Eban at home and are expecting a little girl in September - I think we have pretty much decided on ' Norah / Nora' as a first name but can't decide on which spelling- we also can't decide on a middle name - my husband really wants Evelyn which I am not totally against, I'm just worried its going to sound a little ' granny ish ' with Norah so was considering something less old fashioned - does any one have any ideas? Am thinking 1,3 or 4 syllables would flow best and it would be great if the name had a special meaning as we lost our last 2 babies in the second trimester - not expecting much I know!!! ;)
Also which spelling for Norah do people prefer?

Thanks in advance

I prefer Norah, but that's just me. I like names that are a little different. I like Evelyn.
But another middle name I think Danielle/Daniella would be nice they mean miracle. Another Idea is mary/marie they mean "wished for child." I hope this helps.

My hubby and I may be using Nora.. this spelling becuase it is his grandmother's name. I always say go with the most classic spellings.. not sure what's been around longer though, Nora or Norah.

I prefer Norah. as for middle names...Ivy, Leigh, Jasmine, rebekah??

Norah :) Love Evelyn. Eve would go nice too but Im biased (Eve means Life which i think is lovely)! Also Eden, Francesca, Isabelle and Grace go well. Faith and Hope would also work well as a tribute to your little angels x

Firstly, sorry for your losses.

I ADORE Norah!!.

I prefer the spelling Norah as it looks more complete and is softer looking.

I think Evelyn sounds lovely as Norah is also old fashioned.

I thought of Celine, it means "one who comes from heaven", I thought this was a sweet meaning, I felt it was saying that your two angel babies have sent little Norah to you. I know it's 2 syllables and you said 1,3 or 4 but I felt it flowed really well. I think Norah Celine sounds pretty.

I love Norah! I would keep the H to make it look more complete IMO.

Norah Evelyn sounds pretty as both are old fashioned.

Some other suggestions with meanings:
*Color names (Hazel, Scarlette, Rose, etc)
*Names meaning "Rainbow", such as: Iris, Raine, Beau
*1 syllable: June, Joy, Hope, Faith, Rose, Lynn, Mae, etc.
*3 syllable: Abigail, Christina, Olivia, etc.
*4 syllable: Serephina

Norah :flower:

I think a middle name like Hope, Faith or Grace would be appropriate, given your difficult journey :flower:
