Might be TMI? Purple/Red vertical line...

...between my butt cheeks? It's a bit uncomfortable... I remember reading another post about this a long time ago and I think it said something about it relating to cervical dilation, but I had my cervix checked like a week ago and it was closed... Soooo what the heck is it?

I think the dilation thing is a myth... My butt crack had a purple line at around 25 weeks lol. I had it last pregnancy too, but I never rechecked it when I wasn't pregnant.

I found a stretch mark on my butt cheek a couple weeks ago and I didn't have the line then so I know it's a new thing... I was sort of hoping it was because I started dilating, not necessarily because it would be progress, but because otherwise my ass is splitting in half for seemingly no reason

I was mentally counting down until someone said something along the lines of 'but there's already a crack in it'.

I also REALLY want my husband to look at it (I don't know why, I just do for some reason lol) but I bet he'll want to rush me to the hospital... the other day (I presume) he heard me peeing through the bathroom door in the morning and he started knocking on the door and asking "IS THAT YOUR WATER BREAKING?".

He's getting impatient.

I was mentally counting down until someone said something along the lines of 'but there's already a crack in it'.

Haha I noticed this too the other day! Bent over in front of the mirror butt-naked and I noticed it! Not dialation for me hopefully, only 31 weeks!
Maybe it's like the linea niagra you can get on your belly, it just happens?

lol I might bring it up... I don't have a midwife but my OBGYN has absolutely no sense of a social contract whatsoever. The first time I saw her after I switched hospitals a month ago, after finishing my vaginal exam she said "You know, it's really interesting that your pubic hair is brown... I've never had a foreign patient and all Japanese pubic hair is completely black!"... while my husband was standing there. If I could still see/reach my Chamber of Secrets I would go back to shaving it all off.

Lol what a strange thing for her to say lol. My oh was suprise my eye lashes are blonde but all my hair is.
He also asked me if I was going to clean my boobs before feeding the baby lol. I asked him why and he said as after his touched them I should was them. I didn't like to tell him that once baby is here my boobs will be leaking lol xx

Maybe the butt crack line is because our hips are spreading in preparation for squatting out a human?

And as for pubes, that is SUCH an odd thing to say! I wonder if she's ever seen a redhead's nether-region... Or if she comments on other naturally occurring variations of a lady's vulvae?
