MIL and my baby name!!

For the record I think Thorin is a cool name, but I love the unique ones (;

Stick to your guns. It's your baby she can get over it. It annoys me how much people think they've have control when you're pregnant, I never realized this until I actually became PG. my BFs family had issues with our name but we didn't care and luckily my BF is a take no bs kind of person. I didn't have an issue with mil but my BFs grandma! She's very old fashioned and ugh don't tell me what to name my child lol

Name him Thorin and tell her to suck it.

My MIL put up a big fuss about our name choice, as well, even though it's a fairly traditional name. She actually went so far as to say that someday, our son would "kick his father's ass" over it, and made a HUGE stink all over Facebook about it one night while she was drinking with her friends over the phone. Ridiculous. She then tried to push hard for us to use her father's name, which is a fine name, but not one I have any interest in naming our son. The middle name is already a double-memorial (my uncle and hubby's grandfather on his dad's side), how much does she want us to burden this kid, anyway? Really pissed off about the immature and shamefully public way she handled it, especially since it was after she announced on HER facebook page that we'd chosen a name and what it was (first, middle, and last).

I really don't understand people. Oh yeah he still gonna be thorin :D she should be happy as I got her dads name as his second name and its also my great grandads name and my nan was over the moon she was so happy but mil said nothing :/
