So stupidly I didn't clean out the milk dispenser pot I stored the formula powder in properly and it looked like it had stuff growing in it. It's been cleaned out now and I'm going to boil it in a saucepan for 5 mins. Would this be ok or should I get another one?

It depends on the type of plastic as to whether it will survive the heat of boiling. Have you tried Milton?

The instructions said to boil the pot for 5 mins before first use anyway so it's ok to do that. It's more a question of whether it will have killed any remaining bacteria. I've boiled it for 5 mins and then I've had it in the cold water steriliser for 15 mins so should hopefully be ok.

Assuming it was safe to be boiled, which sounds like it is, yes, boiling for 5 minutes should do the trick. You don't need to follow up with milton's. Alternatively, it's probably easier just to wash and put straight into milton's for cold sterilising and skip the boiling. That said, as long as you are making your bottles with hot water the correct temp, it will sterilise the formula from that pot anyway, so all would be fine.

I'm sure if you've cleaned it properly then it will be fine but tbh they are so cheap i'd just buy another one
