Mirena coil?

So I had the coil fitted last November.
Everything has been fine since,only had 2 bleeds.
But the past 2 weeks I have been in such pain!!
I'm having very strong period like pains,which also go in my right side of my pelvis and feels like it's going down into my leg and gives it a "dead leg" feeling.
Iv had a few pains before but nothing like this,the pain woke me up at 4.30am today,
Anybody else experienced this? I dunno if it's the coil or infection or something else.

Hi hun, Ive had my mirena since last october and so far its been the best contraception for me. a couple of months ago I had painful cramping and thought maybe my mirena had moved, OH had also told me he could feel it a day or 2 before while DTD. I got my peroid a couple of days later though so I just assumed it must be something to do with the cervix length at diffrent times in my cycle. Ive not had any pain since and OH hasnt felt it again. If your really worried maybe go see your dr and ask if your mirena cold be causing the pain, they may send you for a scan to see if its still in place, good luck xx
