ugh I always hated that time between a bfn and waiting for af to arrive. It's like...ok...let's get on with it already!
Sorry about the dog @MrsKatie ! We did something very similar year before last. I got it in my head that I wanted another dog, so I got this pit mix puppy who was just as sweet as can be. Well, our present dog was not having any of it. It was absolute chaos in my house between our dog trying to fight the new dog, then the new dog trying to hump our other dog....and then the kids were losing their dang minds. I was having a panic attack between all of it and I just couldn't deal. I took him back after 3 days....and lost half our money. Hubby was not pleased...kids were disappointed but they got over it quickly.

Chickens are great. We have a predator problem here so do have to be mindful of foxes and owls, but we really enjoy our birds (we have ducks and geese too) and of course the eggs!

Thanks @gigglebox, that helps knowing the kids got over it fairly quick. This dog has been incredibly patient with the kids, but I have postpartum anxiety and I cant stop stressing that her patience will run out. I couldnt blame the dog either because a 10 month old just doesnt understand not to poke the dog’s eye! Being 8 months old, this dog had experiences before my family though, and I dont know what those experiences may have left her with in terms of patience.

I wish I could handle training the dog more, the way i trained dogs all my life. But it’s certainly different juggling a toddler, baby, and praying to have another pregnancy.

Between failure with the dog and failure ttc, i’m bummed. Good to know my son will likely get over it quickly. Only had the dog 2 weeks.

@HalfricanMa Im sorry you had to return the dog, but at least you were honest with yourself about it and did the right thing about taking them back sooner rather than later. I live in the country and we get so many dumped animals.

7dpo and have some symptoms, but trying not to get excited. I’m holding out til 9dpo to test, but I may do an opk tomorrow for funsies. Lol I had my progesterone check today and it came back 17.1. The doctor hasn’t reviewed so I don’t know if that good or not.
