Anyone else watched this? I'm amazed at how stupid some people are!

Smoking girl - "its me who's smoking, not the baby"

I don't believe anyone can really be that thick?

Didn't want to read and run....I'm in the states and I don't think we get that show. But yeah smoking girl sounds like an idiot. Why is it that the dumbest women have a baby with no problem. Maybe if I became an idiot I would fall pregnant faster.

i watched it, what a idiot and then she didnt want filming after, and smoking in the same room as her 3yr old daughter, :nope: not fair ot right at all , x

Gah, must say this reminds me of a friend who's pregnant and she still drinks despite having a baby in her womb. She's not an heavy drinker, but I thought most expectant moms would steer clear of alcohol...

I know, what an imbosile! Telling her poor little girl she will smoke where she likes in her house!

Yeah I know, it's v frustrating - the baby and little girl should be taken off her.

If you can get on the BBC iplayer you can probably still catch it. Think the next few weeks are about mums to be/parents.

i watched it, and i just thought the whole way through what a loud of selfish girls!!! that poor baby didnt ask to be born. and thats what you have to decide to give up when you get pregnant, but if more pregnancies were actually planned than an accident now a days then we wouldnt have as much selfish people like that.
sorry people that do it but my opinion, for all the girls on here that are desperate for a baby and they put there baby health or risk having a miscarriage because of what there doing makes me so angry x not fair

the lady that was drinking at least she actually gave up, it was just such a shock for her to be pregnant it took her time to get used to it. x

yeah i agree about the drinking lady because she was told she couldnt have children.
but the smoking girl!! grrr

I was at the local maternity hospital with a friend a couple of weeks ago whilst she got a D&C and we were both sickened to see these two women standing outside with their huge bumps, fag in hand and taking a delivery off of somebody who just drove by (Naive little me didnt realise it was drugs until my friend pointed it out) Made me so mad when my friend had just lost her little baby and I was struggling to get one.

NOT FAIR

I saw it. I felt kind of sorry for the mum who ran the bar. She was really trying and I think it was good that she'd cut out smoking and barely drank. She did do the right thing in the end by trying to be less stressed and trying to sort out the issues from her divorce.

I was pretty impressed with the larger mum too - she really tried with that diet and her exercises.

I just couldn't understand the attitude of the smoking mum. To see how much danger her child was in - and then keep smoking! Madness.

I didn't watch this, but I'm going to check it out on iplayer if I can.
Sadly, I've known lots of people continue to smoke, drink, and even use drugs during pregnancy. I know a few people who've smoked while pregnant, justifying it by spouting that old line: "It'd be too much stress on the baby for me to quit while I'm pregnant!" So the better thing to do is make your new-born child go cold turkey from a dangerous addiction you forced upon it?!
