Grass is always greener. I suppose, being from California SF Bay Area, where I was near the bay, beach, mountains not far either, amazing night life and so much to do...it's seems a bit boring here. Longish story as to how I'm here and well, I won't be moving for sometime b/c I gained a stepson here when I met & married my husband here! I miss the water and the majority around here is desert, but do have some unique things and 45min away there are parts of the NM area that are quite naturally green and pretty mountains and sunsets. I fell in love with the green chile here and the New Mexican food is quite tasty

I'm originally from Southern California (Orange County), went to college in Flagstaff, AZ and then moved here to NY and I've visited all over the US. I had relatives in Santa Fe I stayed with for a few days and between that and my time in AZ, I fell in love with the southwest.
