I gave birth to my son 9 weeks ago tomorrow. Anyway, I was in Tesco today and saw their own brand pregnancy tests which were cheap so I thought I'd buy them. Just for peace of mind more than anything because I'm just so tired all the time. Probably just being a mum to two young boys (my eldest is only 17 months). So I took one and I got a faint pink line. It came up within the time limit. I also took one of the crappy ebay ones which I had in my cupboard (this was actually what I took first which made me buy the Tesco ones). It came up with a very faint line but was barely visible when it dried (plus I know these tests are absolutely awful for evaps!). Not sure if you can see it in the pictures as my phone is absolutely crap at taking pictures and my camera doesn't like to zoom in that close. So anyway, the line is definitely there and definitely pink but could it just be left over pregnancy hormones? We've only had sex twice since giving birth and I bled for about 7 weeks. It took us 3.5 years to fall pregnant with our first and we did actually try for our second son (which only took one month) but I just thought we'd got lucky. What do you think? Can a pregnancy test take that long to go negative after giving birth? There also looks like there's a line running horizontally across the test in the pictures but this is just a glare from the flash on my camera.

Looks bfp to me too as Tesco tests aren't that sensitive I don't think.

I'd say it's a pregnancy not left over hormones from last pregnancy!
Your very fertile after a baby for a short time apparently.
Congrats!

Oh god, we always planned on having a third child but not for a good few years yet! Blimey, I'll never sleep again! Will take another test tomorrow as it was a 2 pack. I guess if it's darker then that's my answer. Here's a couple more (I cracked the test open which I hate doing as I know that can give false positives). I did hear that you are mega fertile after giving birth but as our fertility issues were on my husband's side, I thought we'd be safe. How wrong was I!

Your hands are going to be very full!! That looks bfp to me as well! Can you get to the drs next week to get blood draws to see if its new? I dont think hormones after birth last that long. Cant wait to see if its darker in the am!

I def see the faint line cant wait for tomorrows test!! If there is a line on tomorrows test could you get a better test or maybe a digital to confirm?

Yeah I may get an FRER tomorrow if I manage to get out. Leaving the house with 2 takes me long enough. Mind you, my mum helps out so much which is great but it means I'm going to have to think about going back to work very soon which I didn't want to do. I have my 8 week check on 8 January so I'll speak to my doctor about it then but they don't seem to do blood tests where I live for pregnancy - not until about 11 or so weeks. I imagine I'd get an early scan to check the dates because I obviously don't know how far along I am. I'd imagine only about 3.5 weeks. I'm blaming my husband. I was quite happy to go to sleep that night but he had other ideas!

I wasn't sure about the wet pics, but the one when it's dried looks like a bfp to me! Really can't wait for toms test!! What's ur oh said? How are u feeling about it? Xx

Hmmm, not sure how I feel about it. Don't get me wrong, I'll be over the moon if I am pregnant again but it's just going to be so much hard work. But then having said that, we want 3 and I don't think having 3 would ever be easy. Would just have been nice if my eldest was a bit older. My husband hasn't said much but I know he's fine about it. I think we're just more paranoid about what our families will say!

I can imagine!- I'm paranoid about telling family this time round too for what they'll think (no idea why, dd is 2!) so I'm sure that's something ud worry about a bit, not that it's anyone's business but urs anyway. I'm sure they'll be pleased, maybe a bit surprised! Are u def waiting till tom to test? I really want to know what ur next test looks like now! U have to update here ASAP!! Xx

Haha I'm desperate to test again but I only have the one Tesco test left and I think 2 ICs. Will update as soon as I do them tomorrow which will probably be early as lay ins are a thing of the past now xxx

Ha ha i know what you mean my df can be like that as well always thinks its sexy time!! I have told him we got to be careful after i have baby and he keeps saying it took us two years so it will take along time again he doesnt get its not always like that. Def update asap i cant wait to find out!!

I definitely see a line on those, cant wait to see what ur next test says xx

Ugh tell me about it!... lie ins disappeared into the distant horizon sometime ago here as well! :(. Since getting pregnant again iv been really tried and each morning have tried unsuccessfully to convince my toddler to lie down and go back to sleep in our bed for a little bit (translation-try and pin her down using arms/legs/duvet/bribes of chocolate and kittens, before she breaks free and jumps up and down on our bed shouting repeatedly "wake up mummy, I'm flying!!!", before sitting on my head) :(

Aannyyywwaayy!!.... Looking forward to seeing tomorrow's test as well! Good luck! Xx
