Today marks 8 weeks 1day for my pregnancy. I haven't had the usual morning sickness for the past 4 days. For those past 4 days I haven't been waking up in the mornings to end up dry heaving in a bucket for an hour. Certain smells make me gag still. Also all day yesterday the thought, taste or smell of any food made me instantly want to vomit. I'm wanting to know if I should be concerned at the loss of my usual morning sickness and has anybody else lost morning sickness at 8 weeks but gone on to have a healthy pregnancy?

I didn't have much MS at all (and never in the morning) and what slight queasiness I did have was mostly gone by 10 weeks. lO is healthy and happy!

Mine's been awful and I'm 7+3, the last 2-3 days have been so much better for some reason, only mild nausea very short-lived. It's a little worrisome to me but from what I've heard and read MS comes and goes, like all other symptoms, and does not mean anything is wrong. I have also heard of people having a bit of a respite about halfway through the first trimester. I'm hoping that's what this is for me and just trying to enjoy it.

I had really bad constant nausea between 6 weeks to the end of 8 weeks. It suddenly tailed off on Thursday and I had nothing on Friday, I got so worried I booked a £100 private scan on Saturday just to see if everything was ok and the baby was in there wriggling around and had a nice strong heartbeat - it had just given me a couple of days off and the nausea has come back, albeit more faintly today. Enjoy feeling well while you can before bean whacks you with more of it!!

I would think that if you still have the nausea at the smell, sight and taste of food that all is probably ok :) If you had lost absolutely all symptoms suddenly then I would worry more. I work with a girl who is 6 months pregnant and never had any morning sickness, she has no idea how lucky she is!

I also completely lost mine at 8 weeks and it hasn't returned! :) I'm so happy about that. Don't worry, everyone is different and it doesn't mean something is wrong with your pregnancy.

Nope! It might come back... I had a few day long break, followed by the worst day of ms that Ive ever experianced. With my first, I never got sick, I just felt a little naseous at the thought/sight/smell of food. So you sound 100% normal to me. ;)

Mine tapered off somewhere in the 9 weeks' range or so, and I saw a healthy baby a few days afterward. :) It's frustrating sometimes, because I don't really "feel" pregnant right now... but I've come to accept that for some lucky women, it's common to be done earlier than others. I'm just being grateful for it haha and looking forward to my next scan in just over a week!

So happy to read this thread tomorrow I will be 7 weeks and today my symptoms were not nearly as bad as they have been. Still had some gagging, but I went from vomitting while I was taking a shower yesterday (TMI I know sorry) to just feeling a little quesy today and my breasts aren't as tender. I have read its completely normal and to enjoy a break and be assured everything is probably fine. My mother had a miscarriage with her first pregnancy and my MIL lost her first four. So I am a little paranoid. We have told our immediate families and best friends but other than that no one really knows. My mom said the more people who know the more people to pray I just think its the more people to let down if anything happens she told me not to think that way. Good luck, and lets enjoy a few symptom "free" days.

I had horrible 24/7 nausea starting week 6. And sore boobs from the begining. 7 weeks most of my symptoms have gone, and only get sick feeling after certain things I eat, an boobs only hurt just a tiny bit at night time. Had an 8 week scan and everything was perfect. So I wouldnt worry about it :)
My doctor said its completely normal

Dont worry, symptoms can taper off and then come back. It's normal to worry though. We are all mom's now and we worry. But try to focus on the fact that you are PREGNANT and send positive thoughts to your baby. :) Your body is just starting to adjust better to the hormones :)
