Mothercare babyplan - AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Terrible!! Definately write a stinking letter of complaint.

I have recently found Mothercare customer service shocking too, so unfortunately what you have explained doesn't suprise me :growlmad:

TBH I've never rated mothercare anyway so wouldn't even contemplate using them to buy the bigger items, I'd rather pay a bit extra to a company I know will treat me well. Definately complain and I agree you should tell them some items haven't been received

thankyou for posting this, was thinking of doing this plan myself (was about 90% set on it!) and CERTAINLY wont be now!
To be honest lots of things i want from mothercare are cheaper elsewhere so ill be saving money! I would have done it just beacue it was convenient and all my friends and family know what i would like!

But now they will all be receiving an email instead :-)

xx

I have to say I was really unimpressed with Mothercare on Saturday aswell. I got a demo on some buggies and the sales guy was lovely, but wass tumped at my questions and gave us the wrong information (I found out when I got home whilst googling!)

They kept mentioning the BabyPlan, but could not explain in simple terms, I didn't really understand it at all!!

I also wanted my boobs measured. First of all the lady "tutted" at me (I had an underwired bra on that is obviously too small, hence why I was being measured haha!!) then she said because I was 16 weeks I would still grow, so she added measurements onto my size and brought me bra's that were blatently too big, her logic "I will grow into the" My logic "I'll buy bigger ones when I need to" So I ended up with no bra's at all.

I am steering clear and only net shooping from Mothercare now.

Hiya

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and sop far I have had no problems with Mothercare and the Baby-Plan.

No, you can't put everything on the plan, but, the list they have in store is different to the list online.
Also, the list in store changes weekly.

The good thing about the plan is, we ordered the quinny buzz, and recently the carrycot had 20% off (something like that).
Anyway, we went into store and mentioned it, and we now have it on order for the cheaper price, and they state they will do this, and they were very happy to.

Obviously, I havnt got as far as receiving my goods yet, but so far I think the service has been good.
Family members have been able to pay some of the outstanding amount off too.

Ok, it's not for everyone, but I don't think Mothercare should be ruled out!

Do complain, but for me i had very good service from them and all my goods turned up when they should have and found the customer services pretty good too

I don't get how they could leave all your stuff without being signed for in your garden. I find that shocking, complain!

That is shocking.

I've had nothing but good service experience with the babyplan (a while ago now LOL)
They do honour the reduced price if the item on your plan goes on Sale/special price, you just have to take your plan recipt in. We wanted our pram and carseat delivered early and as long as the balance was paid that wasnt a problem.

I had a babyplan and it was fine. I just purchased the things not on the plan that I wanted seperately!?
I arranged delivery to my parents house on a day that we arranged at the time of taking out the plan, a day when my mom wasn't working, and they stuck to that day. We then took bits at a time back to our house.
We asked people who wished to contribue to give money to us (before the deadline of the plan) and we took it in to pay the plan off.

Your store personell should not have offered you a Saturday date in the first place if they don't do Saturdays. Being as the store is so far away from you (I think you said) this may have influenced your decision with whether to open a plan or not. I think you should complain to the original store.
