Hi ladies,

From about 10/11 weeks i was feeling little flutters when i lay down. I felt it everyday. They got a lil bit stronger in the last week, but i haven't felt anything the last 2 days. I know its still early to be feeling movement, i know there's still alot of room in there, but is this normal? Has it happened to any of you? Have u had quiet days?

I thought i felt something earlier when i was walking but cant be sure and cant help but worry & just want to feel a little tiny movement so i know everything is ok.

Thanks for reading :flower:

Edit- im 14 ish weeks

Is it still very early and baby is still very small so has plenty of room to hide. Most women won't even feel movement until a lot later than you are.
I started feeling movement at 15.4 weeks and have felt at least something everyday, some days are much quieter than others though and I'll sometimes only get a few light movements maybe in the evenings.

Sorry posted to early,
I was going to say try not to worry although I know it's easier said than done as I worry myself on the quiet days until I get some kind of movement. Have you thought about getting a Doppler? I did think about it but thought it might cause me to worry more if I couldn't find the heartbeat. :)

The same thing happened to me! I was feeling movememts fairly frequently from 10 weeks then had quite few quiet days. I was worried but used my doppler and everything was fine. Now Im starting to fewl it again but in a different way. I think maybe our uteruses popped out a bit more away from the pelvic bone, and with the extra room we don't feel the movements the same way? That's my own theory anyway :)

I have felt the baby for the the last couple of weeks and the amount of movement I can feel definitely varies day to day. Last week I was feeling lots of movement but it's been much quieter the past few days.

Yesterday I had my 16 week check up and the midwife failed to find the heartbeat and I had to go to the hospital to have it checked out. She said it can happen as the baby has so much room and is still very small. Thankfully everything was fine and they found the heartbeat almost immediately at the hospital.

But it got me thinking the baby must have moved to a different position and that's why I haven't felt him/her that much. Also made me decide against getting a doppler as if a professional can't find the heartbeat and she tried for a long time then I'd probably struggle as well and don't want the added stress.

Thank you all very much, glad to know im not alone.

I have one, but to be honest i dont think it works proper, i had it on my daughter & i kept thinking i was picking up my heartbeat so i jus gave up because it was confusing me haha.

dimmu - u must of been terrified but glad the baby is ok :hugs:

Try not to worry, depending on where the baby is depends on how you'd feel the movements, my midwife said they don't tell us to monitor movement until 26 weeks xx

Ive just started to feel kicks in the last week but its not consistent some days i hardly feel anything but then the next day she can be kicking a lot! But i felt nothing at 14 weeks not even pops so dont worry, my placenta is also at the front so i feel kicks either very low or to the side.

Hi Eve!!

I started feeling little flutters at around 13 weeks. I felt a kick last night when going to bed but nothing since. I'm 16 weeks now but I think 17 is the "norm" for feeling movements so I'm trying not to worry.

If you're really worried though maybe you could give your doctor a call? Or do you have an appointment coming up soon?
