We bought our house 3 years ago and arnt looking to move for at least 5 years maybe even longer but how do you afford it?

We have to watch money especially now at Christmas and when we do finally move we will hopefully have another child.

Do you try and save as much as you can? Do you use any profit you make on selling the house as a deposit for the next?

I would say yea saving as much as you can is a smart move, to cover estate agent fees, removals etc etc. And yeah the bigger the deposit the better mortgage deals are available, so everything from the sale would go to that. Not that we'll be able to afford to move anytime soon anyway :nope:

We were wondering this too. We hope to move in the summer, well put the house on the market in the summer!!! But we're saving now, it's like we're saving for another deposit, which is mad as we're already on the housing ladder!!!

Do you have to start from scratch if your in negative equity when you sell? Do you owe the bank money even?
