Chinese doctor gave me a sandal box to be used with moxa herbs. I am to place this box on my belly with moxa herb burning inside which is supposed to warm my uterus (according to the Chinese doctor I have "cold uterus") Has anyone done anything like this? I wonder if this helps at all and also not sure when I am supposed to do it before and/or after ovulation? any advice is welcome.

I have done a bit of reading on this and apparently moxibustion is used in combination with acupuncture which greatly enhances the healing of infertility. does this have the same effect when you do it yourself at home?

I don't have experience of exactly what you've been prescribed. However, I did have a month of accupuncture back in August - about 7 sessions over 5 weeks I think. I was told I was 'cold' and she used Moxa on me 2 or 3 times. The way she did it was to burn the moxa stick and hold it over my abdomen, moving it slightly, this way and that, to warm it all through. If I remember correctly, she also used it on my lower back. The advice she gave me was to keep my abdomen and lower back, bizarrely, warm and to eat warming foods and drinks.
I liked the experience of the moxa; it really did warm me up and felt very calming. I hope you have a similar experience with yours.

I would add though, as I'm still on this forum, I still don't actually have a bfp, so as far as helping is concerned, I'm not sure. That said, I only did it properly for one and a bit cycles as it was a bit pricey and I couldn't commit the time once the summer holidays were through.
