Its so lovely to read positive breastfeeding experiences.
We've been breastfeeding for almost 15 months. Only problems was chaffed nipples the first couple of weeks, and more recently blocked ducts ( but this is down to Jax only breastfeeding twice a day now)
I can't imagine what making up bottles is like, this way is so hassle free.
I find FF a massive pain in the arse, and I never even did it when Eamon or Liam were newborn. After 6 months so no sterilising, just tap water (which is extremely good here). If I find it like that without all the extra faff I'd hate to FF a baby under 6 months.
Thanks so much for all the replies, everyone, it is really great to hear positive stories about breastfeeding! I would just like to add that I've been on holiday overseas for a week and it has been awesome to be BFing - no problems with baby having popping ears on a plane, no worrying about carting around formula or water or clean bottles, an instant way of comforting LO if he was unsettled - couldn't have been easier.
I found it easy
I went into it without doing any research as I didn't think there was another option and just thought it was the natural thing and I'd be able to do it fine (obviously , now I know this isn't the case for a lot of people).
LO latched on perfectly a few minutes after being born and we had no problems apart from the sore nipples for the first 2 weeks or so but nothing major
