At around 2 months old my DS had a stroke after a very severe case of bronchilitus  he's doing well, but I had him seen by a private paediatric neuro-physio for reassurance. She was happy with him, but did say that one arm is slightly more stiff than the other, he's not as quick to move it and it seems less mobile. Likewise he prefers to turn his head to the right and holds it better that way. However, he always turned his head that way from birth, so this didn't concern me too much. She said if that was indeed the case it could have lead him to prefer the arm he was facing (which is the arm he appears to favour). She said it could be something or nothing - can't say at this stage. Does anyone know about neurological muscle stiffness? Google is not my friend! Is it permanent? It always seems to be linked with CP - is that the case? She did say it was only slight and improved by the end of the session, but I'm hung up on it now. Would muscles be stiff sometimes but not others?
