my back hurts at 11 weeks,anyone else?

My lower back on my right side hurts lately. It's been hurting me last 2 weeks probably. The pain goes into my lower back and my right buttocks. it's more like when i stand up and move, or try to sit and bend when I feel it the most. Could this be due to the pregnancy in any way? I never felt like this before, never had prob with my back. I know women can get lower back pain in late pregnancy like 7-9 months, but why am i getting it so early?? and if it is related to pregnancy this early does it mean it will just get worse as my pregnancy progresses?? anyone else felt like this?

YES. Mine did from 9-11 weeks. From what I looked up, its called sacroiliac joint pain. Its in your lower back/top of butt towards the middle tailbone. Everytime I move, walk, bend over (especially when I lift my leg to walk) its excruciating! At one point I couldnt even take a step. If you google it, it shows it common in pregnancy because hormones release relaxin. I emailed my Dr. Cant do much but put ice or heat on it and do prenatal stretches/yoga. She said I could go in to get checked out, and if determined they could give me vicodin for the pain. Mine started at 9ish weeks. Im 13 weeks now, and its SO much better. I hope yours goes away!

That gives me hope that it might go away, I HOPE SO!!! i can not go another 6 months with this pain, it's like i cant do anythig without feeling the pain. i lean over from the couch to get a glass of water from the table and the pain is just horrible. & yes it's every time i bend, walk or move, get up off the couch. i been ignoring it for 2 weeks now thinking it will go away, but still here, im crossing my fingers and hoping it gets better like urs/...last 2 days it was the worst...but im just glad to hear there is someone else with this and it is due to the pregnancy, i was beginning to think i pulled my lower back or something.

Yours sounds exactly like mine. It reached a point one day where I got up and couldn’t even take a step. I was in tears. Days after that it went away. I thought I was going to have it the whole pregnancy. I read that some do, and I read that sometimes it last even after the pregnancy. I was so upset and worried. But it went away! I know yours will too. It sounds EXACTLY like mine.

Yeah I just researched it and it says that it can last all pregnancy and that it can even stay after you give birth, which really freaked me out. Knowing yours is not really sticking around, i'm glad, so there is hope for me too. how long did yours last?? do u still feel it at all?? or not at all? or very lil?
I was reading that women usually start feeling this back pain at like 18-20 weeks, why are we feeling it so early?

yes since about 6 weeks- the worst back pain- got it with my other pregnancies- and it went away after i delivered- not right away though- for me it is related to the baby!

Mine lasted like 2 weeks. Its pretty much gone now.

Oh, and yes, we'll fell a different type of back pain later on, so im told!

oh boy we are headed for a long road ahead of us seems like...but we have a reward waiting at the end so it should be all worth it. : )

no not yet I have my 12wk apt on tues ill prob bring it up then. I dont want to take any meds I havent even taken tylenol im going to see if she can reccomend a pregnancu massage or somethinga

Yeah me too, I have an appt on Monday so i'll bring it up to him and see what he says. I'm def. against taking anything, I hope he can tell me something that would help other than meds.

My dr said prenatal stretches and prenatal yoga. That's the only thing that will help. Also, Tylenol doesn't go into the placenta, it's perfectly fine to take.

Yes - mine hurts! It was really worrying me so I'm glad to see I'm not the only one (but not glad that you all have pain! just that I'm not abnormal )

I've been getting this for the past week (I'm 12w today). Mine seemed to happen as soon as I got in from work and sat down on the sofa, it was almost like I was having a spasm as it made me twitch. Very annoying and horrible, hope it doesn't stick around for too long!
