My body likes to screw with me

So this month, I was suspicious that I could be pregnant after an "oopsie". But after multiple tests and my period starting yesterday, obviously I am not. However today, my period has apparently decided that it's over and I'm just spotting. WTF is that all about? Why do I always seem to have these weird periods right after I think I might be pregnant? Could it be the change in season that's screwing with me?

I think our bodies like to mess with us from what I have read on the Internet it is best to repeat test again in a week to make sure... I always thought testing a day after missing period or scant period is ok, but apparently one should ideally test a week after missed period/ scant period...
