My breastfeeding rant...... 10 months built up

I totally agree, especially #4. I have friends that didn't even feed day one let alone to day 3. I really don't understand it. One friend just looks at me & says "oh, your poor nipples, I could never do that"

There isn't anything wrong with my nipples. I threatened to show her they were OK despite BFing for 4 months.

It's just so sad that women don't WANT to try that hard. I mean I only really tried because so many women weren't able to was determined to beat the odds and I hate losing not that FF are losers but we are all aware of the self feelings of failure for women when it doesn't work, I refused to fail. All the women I knew did the "oh it's too hard" and I wanted to show them I could. The convenience, the love, the bonding, the information, the health advantages for Eva and all the other good stuff came after I did it, i'm grateful that I had no problems because I didn't know what I knew now and I can tell you when I BF my second it won't be because I have something to prove and I will not give up EVER and I will be 1000x more determined. Breastfeeding was the best thing I ever did and I LOVE it.

*going to reply to all your comments within an hour or so sitting in the car atm on my phone because Eva fell asleep and I dont want to wake her*

I'm only 3 months in and feel your pain. I struggled at the start and everyone told me that I needed to ff. I such to my guns though, but now all people ask is when I'm quitting?!

My biggest peev is that we are on a bf forum but still feel the need to write in a way so as nit to upset firmula feeders. Why r they even reading bf posts, I dont hang out in the ff forum pages

I agree with this to an extent... I combi-feed (using EBF and/or formula) due to supply issues so I sometimes hang out on both forums. That's a reason why FF'ers might be on the bf forum as well.

Although I absolutely agree that someone who formula feeds shouldn't come to this forum just looking for an argument. This should be a place where people feel free to post their questions/opinions/struggles, etc with breast feeding without fear that someone is going to attack them for it.

My best friend FF her 3 children - ok thats her choice but she just keeps on at me .. breasts are sexual its not right to have a baby on them, and everytime Jack cries she says its cos im not feeding him enough and i should go onto formula so I can see how much hes getting :nope:

two of mine were partially FF or switched to FF for medical reasons yet I see doctors etc spouting a lot of BS particularly about allergies I feel for whatever reason a mum is FF she has the right to the correct information and advice so this is why I post in FF as well as here. xx
