My cervix is always hard?

My cervix never feels 'soft', I mean I have herd of some cervix almost being not noticeable because it is so soft it blends in with the vagina walls.
Sometimes it feels open, but never soft. Even when ovulating and having tons of EWCM.

I am currently waiting the 'two week wait', with my first ovulation after coming of the pill months ago. And ever since I have finished ovulating my cervix still feels open.. maybe I am mistaking open for soft?
It feels like the tip of my nose, but only SLIGHTLY spongy at the tip. But I am still convinced it is just open not soft. I got a positive OPK on Wednesday, tested this morning and a BFN.

I dont check my CP anymore after learning its different throughout the day . and the only time mine was really soft was when I was going into labor with my girls.
