Heres a little background for you all my due date was the 29th of May however my OH (Steven) is in the army and had his weekend leave from 17th and had to go back on the 19th!! I requested a sweep and got that on the Friday, Had irregular contractions all weekend...

:)So after my irregular contractions all weekend and losing my plug and thinking Lewis would make an appearance for daddy and of course deciding to be stubborn and daddy went back-

Sunday night early Monday morning I woke up for the toilet as usual but noticed when I was rolling over in bed I was getting sharp pains like at the sides of my pelvis iykwim? Thought nothing of it, got up at quarter past 7 and thought I was having BH's but every now and again was getting sore tightenings but really low not across the top of my bump (which are the ones I remember from having steven ). I went to the toilet and noticed bloody show, so I decided to text big Steven and let him know to be on standby as Lewis might be here today but of course told him it could be nothing but best stay close to his phone. Phoned my mum to let her know aswell as she was by back up birthing partner but of course she had to be starting her new placement with uni that day aswell

I sat and had breakfast with wee Steven, we both got ready and I noticed that my tightenings where gradually getting closer together and starting to feel tighter and sorer.
8:15 left to take steven to school and started timing, was contracting every 3-5 minutes and lasting around 30 seconds, went and picked up my dad who decided to drive and took steven and my sister Kacie to school, of course at the school I got the usual comments from the other mums 'you still not had that baby' 'how long to you have left?' Pain in the ass didn't tell them that he could be here soon, left them not knowing anything ! My dad had kept my mum informed and she had spoke to her mentor who sent her home so she could be with me !
About half 10ish came and I decided to phone the hospital and let them know what was going on, they told me to wait until the contractions were lasting over a minute or they were taking my breathe away :/ yeah very good!
Decided to head out in the car to my grans, went to pay some fines and my dad wanted to buy me a new bath (I had been given one by my cousin but my dad wasn't having it, he wanted a brand new one ) I think the car ride helped because the tightenings where getting sorer but not always lasting over a minute :/ I phoned steven to let him know that I thought his son would be born very soon and the army decided to send him home but by train so he would get into glasgow ar 7:15! It was race against the clock lol!

1 o'clock came and they were finally lasting over a minute we headed over to the hospital, was examined and only 2-3cm dilated! Worst thing to here ever! They told me I could stay for a few hours to see how I was progressing and if no progress they would send me home. Went to labour ward and they ran me a bath (which didn't help the pain btw) but was nice to get my clothes off and relax was rather sweaty. Went into the bath for around an hour and the pain was unbearable and I could feel tonnes of pressure and asked for paracetomal. Got out the bath went back to the ward and tried bouncing on the ball which was bringing on pains fast and strong and giving me more pressure. Decided to try some hypnobirthing, I had done some in aquanatal classes and had tried some in the house but not a lot, focused on my breathing and what a difference! If I ever have another baby I will spend the money on classes! Done that for a few hours and despite managing to stay calm it was getting to a point where I knew if I hadn't made much progress I was going to ask for an epi!
About half 6 (I think) I was examined again and I was 4-5cm which meant I could go to labour ward ! Was still all for an epi, till I got gas and air, by god I love that stuff haha! From that point on everything was hazy but I remember telling everyone I had found a way to boost NHS funds and jobs, sell gas and air as a legal high out on the streets! Haha and I still stand by that statement lol! I knew that it wasn't much longer to go and kept watching the clock, steven got to the hospital al 5 to 8!!!!! Words cannot describe how happy I was at this point!

9 o'clock odds came and I knew it was close, thought my waters had went but apparently it was just blood which the midwife was concerned about and put me on a trace bit thankfully all was ok, my waters b roke and I knew I had to push, stupid midwife told me that she couldn't see his head/there was stillk cervix there/ it was my back passage that was causing it but I knew he was coming, 3 pushes later and he was here!!

Midwives told me he was back to back which was causing the pressure, he had his hand up at his face when he was born. Which made me end up with a 2nd degree tear on the inside so had to be stitched up, ouch! But despite everything it was an amazing experience, got skin to skin straight away, steven got to cut the cord (which he didn't with steven because he had to be taken away straight away)

Lewis is a back to front baby and likes to sleep all day and feed all night literally!!!
Big steven is home until sunday so gets to spend lots of time with us! (Well more than we were expecting) and he's been told not to worry about being back trooped!

So that was Lewis' grand enterance lol my little chunk can't believe he was 9lb and the main point, Daddy got to be there to witness it :cloud9:e!!
