It wasn't as hard as I thought it was going to be. I have a long way to go before I can run the serger like I want. Practice, practice, practice.

That looks great!!! I have that print in a GM If you decide you want to sell I'd love to try one out or test for you in the future...if hayden isn't potty trained but I'm sure we still have a good 6mo for that.

They look amazing! Does the serger do the bits along the edge of the nappy? That's the bit I'd be worried about doing. I've just had a quick google though and found something that said serging is the same as over-locking. If that's true, my sewing machine will do it, woo! I think I might have to have a go at making some nappies soon.

The DD license is $700, so I would have to be really good at making them and pretty fast as well. haha

The pattern is Darling Diapers. You can find it here. It is downloaded right away and is a pdf. It also has a ton of instructions, so I find it really helpful. You can choose which diaper to make, which method of closure and if you watn a side or a front closing diaper.

The knit print is from my local fabric store. The linings are from Celtic Fabrics online. The do loads of different diapering fabrics.

Yes Rachel, I liked the look of the serged, but you don't have to have a serger to make diapers, you can use a regular sewing machine.

I picked it up this weekend off Craigslist for $100.

A great diapering forum is Diaper Divas. They have loads of info on diaper styles, patterns, material. I also like Diaper Swappers. Lot of mamas are sewin there as well and have lots of good info to share.
