My first thread, am I pregnant?

    Hello! I am new to all this..this is my first thread, I dont really understand all the baby talk slang I have been reading, eg TTC. M/C etc. I thought I would join one of these baby sites as I have been trying for a baby for 2 years almost and still no bun in the oven! I was due on my period on the 19th of this month, which makes me 1 week late so far. I always get period pains exactly 1 week before my due day, but this time I have had no pains at all, my breast are tender, I have had an upset stomach for about 4-5 days now, dizzyness, I have been more stressed this week than usual aswell. I want to do a test but want to know when the best time is to do one. I have spoke to my friend who has 4 children and she said that my symptoms are the same as when she conceived with hers. Thoughts please and any advice as to when to do a test. Thank you! x

    do a test as soon as you can get one if your late on your period then you can test any time good luck i hope you are

    Test now hunnie, good luck! Here is some help with abbreviations, lol!

    BFP - Big fat positive
    BFN - Big fat negative
    TTC - Trying to conceive
    AF - Aunt Flow
    BD - Baby dance, (making love) lol!
    DH - Dear husband
    OH- Other half
    DS - Dear son
    DD - Dear daughter
    TWW - two week wait, which starts the day after ovulation
    dpo -days past ovulation
    POAS - pee on a stick
    OPK - ovulation predictor kit

    I think I have covered most of them hunnie. xxx

    Hey welcome to BnB!!

    Sounds like you have all the right symptoms which brings my attention to your question WHEN to test!! The best time to test is first thing in the morning with first morning urine, this urine typically contains the highest concentration of hCG, the pregnancy hormone. During the day that hormone will become diluted and may give you a false result.
