My mice/ bird problem- the plot thickens!!

I posted on here a few weeks ago saying I could hear scratching noises in my loft but hadn't seen any evidence of mice or birds. We could hear this scratching late at night on and off. Now I can hear a sort of eh eh eh eh noise coming from the same place, really loud but the middle of the day??? Are mice around in the day? I'm quite scared really that it's gonna come and go near my LO (probably being very irrational but hey ho) has anyone had any experience of this?

We had mice in our old place, had no idea where they came from we could here them all the time, night and day! We got a few of these https://www.primrose.co.uk/ultrasonic-mouse-control-plug-single-room-p-170.html and stuck them around the house, do you have a socket near your loft? They worked a treat so if it is mice they should get rid of them in no time. You don't have to get em online loads of shops sell them aswell x
