Hi Guys,

So my husband went for his first check up today + had to give his first sample. The poor thing he was really nervous, but he was just getting on with it.
He literally came back green and shaky + said it is the worst things he had to go through. I just feel so bad for him.
We have been TTC for over a year and a half + we said we would get the ball rolling + get checked out, he wants to go get checked out before me.
I feel so sorry for him, I know it is what we have to do, but the whole process is so demeaning. He said he felt so embaressed, even though he was reassured by other guys being there and obviously for the same thing.
The good thing is he did manage to give a sample, but here is the worst part, the nurse he had to give the sample too made a comment about how poor it was :growlmad: the silly cow, i would love to get my hands on her!! how insensitive. she could have just said nothing.
So he came home + he is so down :( I know he will be fine, but he has to go back in a couple of weeks + I dont know how either of us are going to cope :nope:
The things we have to go through for a little bambino :)

I'm so sorry he felt like this, my dh said the first time is the worst and after that you know where to go and what to expect so that bit of pressure is off. But it is never going to be a nice experience for them!

That nurse should never of said that, have you had the results yet?

Thanks Ald. Yes that is true, it will never be as bad as the first time.
They said the results will take up to a week, he thinks, god love him, he said he was in so much shock, he only remembers bits, lol, poor thing. But he knows he has to do a 2nd one in 2 weeks.
Its just awful, i felt so bad, the more I was thinking about the whole process, its such a horrible thing to have to do, especially for a man i spose. I know it will be all worth it + we'll have some answeres.
Also i think for the 2 of us, it is the start of the unknown + it is so scarey. Oh well we are not alone :)

What a nasty thing for that nurse to say! Really, how unhelpful is that. Tell him that not all the nurses are like that and the majority are kind and understanding.

What a horrible woman! Weirdly my OH is looking forward to it hehe, not the results though. Hope all goes well :dust:

What a b*tch! How insensitive can someone be? :dohh: Traskey's right, not all nurses are like that. You get the occasional idiot who just has no idea whatsoever and I just ignore them as they are not worth it (though it can be hard). I've got everything X'd for you wanbmum - hope the results show that nurse she's not very good at her job! :haha:
