my stretch marks PHOTO..purple??

I always thought that during pregnancy stretch marks came up bright red? but mine are purple. my bump is looking HUGE in this pic...im only 31 weeks!!lol. i literally cried the day the first stretch mark came up, i hate them already, but since i took the photo with the flash u can totally see how many ive got...there are soooo many already!! does anyone have stretch marks this bad at 31 weeks? I hate them

They look normal hun and you don't have that many at all. Gosh if my camera was working (and if I had the nerve lol) I'd show you my stomach, it's terrifying Mine reach all the way to almost under my boobs! and they've pretty much doubled in number since my first pregnancy. They're our tiger mommy stripes don't stress over it

EDIT: oh, also, they won't stay purple like that after you have your lo and your stomach goes back down, they'll just be like one shade lighter than your skin tone then.

I havent got any on my bump yet but i have lots on my boobs and they look very similar.
I keep using a cream to try and help but i dont think you can really stop them at all.

I went through a rough period about 4 years ago where I gained a lot of weight very fast.

My stomach EXPLODED in stretch marks, like literally, over 30 of them, as long as my belly.

I hadn't even had a kid back then and I looked like I had 4 kids or something.

It was devastating. 4 years later, most of them are silver but they still extend over my whole belly.

And now that I am pregnant, I fear that once I really pop I will get more, and then god knows what my stomach will look like

Oh well, at least I've had 4 years of dealing with horrible stretch marks. The ones for pregnancy will be nothin. Ugh.

I've got stretch marks that are purple too (funnily enough, ive just been in tears to my husband saying that I never want to show my stomach again), I'm so upset as I'm only 21! I know they're meant to fade but if you're really concerned about them, look into laser surgery (tbh tho yours aren't that bad!)...... Im definitely giving it a try regardless of costs- I hate my stretch marks..... Can never understand why some people aren't bothered by them!

im the same, im only 25 and i feel like im never going to be able to wear a bikini again also i know as i still have 9 weeks to go, they are going to get a lot worse and more of them probably. ill definitely be looking into lazer surgery after bubs is born. my sis said that her and my family will put some money in towards it as a present for my birthday (january 8th) so will just see. i just hate them so much.

mine are way worse and im only 29 weeks!they r purple and there are loads of em.. i didnt really care tho, theyll be whitesilver within 2 years. sorry they r getting u down!

Hey ! I have millions too already , I also already had millions my skin doesn't really stretch well ! Bt don't worry , they fade iv been using Superdrugs own bio oil and it seems to be fading them ! I know how u feel though injus feel like one giant stretch Mark

They don't look bad at ALL. I've seen women with big purple stretch marks thicker than a thumb all over their bumps. I don't have any stretch marks because have such a small bump, although the white ones I already had on my hips from puberty have got more noticeable. Don't worry about stretch marks anyway, seems a small price to pay for the sake of having a beautiful baby x

Stretch marks are like any scar tissue hun, they tend to go purple when you first get them and if it's particularly cold where you are and if you heat up they will look a bit more red like, especially after they have been around a little while

I used to have some pinkish light one's.. they may go away mine did ! i started putting bio oil on 3 times a day and i swear it did me wonders!!... Now i use bio oil i kinda slacked on it but i need to back asap.. that with my self tan i use the fake bake flawless you cant even tell i have one stretch mark! ... i'm 29 weeks and only starting to get the belly now tho boo!! i hate it .. because so far ive been lucky hopefully the stretchies stay uner control

Oh Hun they aren't bad at all! I have them all over my hips although I doubt it'll be long before bump gets them. Mine are purple too and tere r well more then that. Your bump looks beautiful btw!

they will fade, dont worry hun! I got few before, in my teens, but nothing so far. I am bit overweight, so I think all my skin from my back and hips went to bump now I am only 32 weeks, so as I had them before, I will see how it goes, but as much as awful it might be now, you wont notice them after some time

I'd love it if my tummy looked like that! Mine are horrendous, my stomach looks so angry with the amount of stretchies I have, really gets me down sometimes but I guess they'll fade over time and I'm using bio oil twice a day.

Seriously don't worry, drink plenty of water as I've heard that helps them fade and relax!

Ditto Islander! I am full of them, and I even have one under my bump, just up from my lady bits that is so wide, I can literally fit my finger in it - and it hurts! Looks wise, I couldn't care less how many stretch marks I have as at 24 years old I have always been a slim person and to date I've never worn a bikini or any sort of belly showing top so I doubt I'll get the urge when i'm a mam! It's the itching and the one that hurts that bugs me!

Holy bump, fingers. lol! I thought I had a big bump.

No comment on the stretchies, really. To me they don't look too bad, seen them much worse. But, yeah, I fear them, too. Especially since I have previous marks. I feel like most people get them. We should post a poll!
