Our little ones were born on Jan 23 at 35 weeks 5 days. They are both currently in the NICU. Our little girl is still in an isolette, has an NG tube to feed and is such a tiny peanut. Our little guy is a bit bigger, in an open crib, and is eating ok. Both keep having alarms, but mostly its our little girl. I don't like this whole NICU life, it's draining and depressing at times. How do you all do it?!

Congratulations on the birth of your twins hun. I'm sorry i have no experience with long term NICU stays as my son was only in there for a few hours at birth (term +6) :hugs: :hugs: xxxxx

Well my dear, Im sorry your twins are having to be in the NICU, but it sounds like they are doing well! Cingrats on your little ones :) 35+5 is a good gestational age, they most likely wont be in there long.

I know the NICU life is draining (especially with having other children to look after) but it does get better. You will get used to the alarms and the flow of things and it does get easier. :hugs: they will be snuggled home with you in no time :)

Cngrats on your los!
My lo was born at 35 weeks. And I must say the whole nicu experience was hard! But one positive I took out of it was when we got home and he made all those lil noises, that babies make, that may have made me worry and jump to check, him being my first and all, because he was in the nicu I got to learn what all those lil sounds meant and had a monitor there to back it up for when I really did need to worry! Obv at the time I did not appreciate this and Im an admitted "screen watcher" to make sure he was ok but afterwards I tried to pull something positive from the experience :)
