I am not pregnant yet (or even ttc!) but my partner and I would definitely like another within the next year or so.

Anyway I am thinking of names, its become like a hobby of mine!

I have a little girl named Bella but we usually call her Belle.

For a girl I love Elodie, Arwen (Winnie) Penelope (Penny) and Olive. My oh likes all of them (though he changes his mind like the wind)

For boys I love Theodore, Rufus, Rupert, and Bertie (would be Albert in birth cert). I also like Milo Arlo and Myles but oh has said no!

Does Bella and Bertie sound like a kids tv show to anyone else? I love the name just now sure of the subset.

Anyone recommend anything else based on what I mention above.

Now that you've said it it does kind of sound like a kids tv programme but I think it's cute! They don't sound odd together at all. x

Thanks! I love it but am preparing myself already for the comments haha.

Love all your choices except Winnie...don't hate it, just not convinced. My DS1 is Theodore Albert (Teddy) and I almost wish I hadn't used Albert as would love to use Albert/Bertie for DS2. Don't particularly year kids tv show... Xx

Thank you. My oh doesn't love Arwen or Winnie. If he hasn't said a complete no, it goes on the maybe pile haha. Pretty sure she would be Elodie or Penelope though.

Boys names I have always struggled with. I also like Arthur but I don't think oh is convinced. I feel I may need him to sign something if we do end up having another as he changes his mind so much :haha:

Love Bella and Bertie, it sounds adorable! From your list I adore Winnie, Olive and all of your boy's names.

I love your choices, all of your boy names are on our list :haha:.
Some other suggestion:
Angus
Otto
Casper
Cassius
Arthur
Lachlan
Robin

Emilia
Aurelia
Maeve
Rose
Camilla
Lucia
Audrey
Martha
Mabel

Fraser really likes Aubrey. Just seems so trendy for me. I don't hate it but definitely don't love it!

I started naming Bellas teddies names I knew I wouldn't get to use so we have a Mabel haha

I don't think Arwen is a good choice...I also liked Lord of the Rings, but I think it is better to chose a more neutral name, that doesn't scream "my parents liked the books of Tolkien" so much. :)
I like "Winnie" as nickname though...
Elodie is a bit over the top, but I like the sound of "Bella and Elodie"...sounds like the name of an adventure book for children about 2 strong little princesses go to safe their kingdom (I'd buy such a book).
Olive is a bit "meh" in my opinion.
Penelope is kind of cool, eventhough, like Arwen, i don't like the classical gender role she stands for ("I'm at home waiting and embroidering/weaving a piece of cloth, while my husband/partner is gone for years adventuring" is just not what I'd wish as a concept of life for a daughter).

what do you think of Lola or Loreley? they both have a lot of "L"s in it, like most of your first ideas and they sound a bit romantic and very feminine.

I love all your names! I'd prob try n avoid Bertie just because of what you pointed out, but it's a lovely name x

Surprisingly I am not a lord of the rings fan. Just like the name. Same with twilight, have never seen the film just loved the name Bella. But good point, I may look like a film nut if I have Bella and Arwen.

I really love the name Olive! It's adorable and classy and unusual though no one will EVER get it wrong in spelling or pronunciation. It's perfect!

And Theodore would be my son's name if I didn't have an Arab husband. It's just not a name that works well in his language which is a huge huge bummer!

Some suggetions:

GIRLS:
Gwendolen
Carys (care-iss)
Winter (also nn Winnie)
Rowan
Rowena
Asha

BOYS:
Arthur
Edgar
Lucas
Charles

I love Winter but there is noooo way my oh would agree. Surprisingly he loves Autumn and Summer hahaha.

Arthur is definitely on there as is Alfred.

I am putting Rufus as my top name!

I love Olive too and think it sounds quite sweet with Bella?
