I like both Reuben and Neve (or Niamh) but they don't go with our surname - Stephens.
OH also likes Rachel but the connection with S-Club was too much for me!
Also anything ending in S is out because it blends too much into our surname too.

I liked Zeke, but my brother said it would get called Zeke the Geek. So that was a no no. Although I love it.

Hamish - OH doens't like it anymore (haven't quite got to the bottom of that one).
Isla - step-niece
Harris - can't name a baby after an island (apparently - but Isla was okay - they just bet us to it.)
Maisie - OH has named my youngests toy mouse after her so that I can't name the new baby that.


Can't think of ones in the past. Thats been the discussion in our house over the last few weeks.

Oh - I would love Archie - but cousins son.
Just waiting to hear what the names are for the three babies due in our family this month.

I never tell people our name choice - once we have decided, so no one can 'steal' it - and if it is used then it was just the way it was meant to be. But I do like the kids to have their 'own' name in the family, and with 11 nieces and nephews (oh make that 12, one being born this about now via c-section) it is starting to get harder. Add to that cousins (of which I have 16 and OH family ...)

Oh there's loads for us! my dad & his wife have had 2 children in the last few years, as have my OH's brother & wife, and between both couples they used our favourite boy name and girl name (not knowingly, we hadn't told anyone what they were)

Also, my favourite girl name is the name of my OH's ex partner, and one of my favourite boy names is the name of my ex, so we've ruled those out lol it's been really hard to decide on names but think we're finally there x
