I liked Daniel (after OH) Edward (after brother) Dutton but it has the initials DED, which is far to close to dead!
I like Ava Jayne, but my cousin has just called her baby Sadie Jayne and I feel like I'd be copying (N)

It's Mi-van-wee or Mi-van-oy depending on which part of Wales you live in. I think the first way is more common (and the one I prefer) but I've heard both.

I love the name Lola but in Spanish it means sorrows and I just can't name my daughter a name that means something so sad (even though I don't know any Spanish!)

A lot of the girls names I love I've mentally vetoed due to potential problems with pronounciation! It's not that it would be changed to something rude, more that it would annoy me! So any Welsh names with a 'll' or 'dd' in them I don't think I could bring myself to use! Names like Llinos and Lleucu. Blodeuwedd I think is really pretty sounding but a) there would be issues with pronounciation, b) it really wouldn't go with our surname and c) the story in the Mabinogion where the name originates has Blodeuwedd as an unfortunate but not particularly nice character!

When it comes to boys names it's only Gwalchmai that's been vetoed by OH but it's fine as we have plenty of boys names in the bank! Also, Taliesin and Pryderi I love as names, but even I have to admit that, whilst they are both most definately boys names, they don't sound particularly masculine!

courtney > my very 1st bump was named this but week before i had him tiffany on eastenders had a girl and called her courtney so that was right out the window!!!!!
