Nappy Stains

Does anyone know any tricks for getting out stains from terry cloth nappies?

I use a dry nappy basket, which I'm not really prepared to change for a soaing bucket, though I soak my nappies overnight in a nappy soaker in the washing machine, spin it in the morning and then turn the washing machine back on and add normal baby washing powder and put it through a normal cycle on hot.

Is there more I could do to get the little brown stains out?

I always pre-washed and gave mine an extra rinse, and that seemed to help. I have also heard that an afternoon in the sun would take care of poo stains. I will be trying that out soon.

The sun is fantastic at getting rid of those stains.
