Nappy with big inserts = squashed balls

Sorry for the weird title haha!!
But when my LO wears a nappy with a bulky insert - especially econobum inserts his balls look a bit squashed

I worry the bulkiness is bad for his health, has anyone else found this?

M y wee guys winky looks a bit squashed sometimes too but it doesnt seem to bother him

Glad he's not the only one, I got worried and thought it could cause infertility in the future or something!!

yeah, Trav's get a bit squashed sometimes too, esp if he's been sitting still for a bit.

On another balls&nappy note: at baby massage, i used to worry tht my boy's bits looked much smaller than the other boys bits, i envisioned teasing in the locker room in years to come etc. It wasnt until ages after that i realised it was because they were cooler (literally)! All the other babies wore sposies, so their balls would be hotter and therefore hang down a bit more: presumably in an attempt to move away from all the body heat? I only realised this when i noticed that his look like this on a hot day, or when i put him in sposies! N im sure that hot balls are much worse for their fertility than slightly squished balls, so overall i think id rather keep him in cloth n have them slightly squashed!

There is actually some research which suggests that the heat build-up in sposies (which apparently get much hotter than cloth, even though it seems like it would be the other way around) might have an effect on fertility later in life, so I think you've got no worries there!

My little guy does enough squishing by himself playing with his bits in the bath and it doesn't seem to bother him, even though it looks eye-watering!

yeah, id read that too, i didnt quite realise what a big difference it made until i noticed the difference first hand. He deffo seems much cooler in cloth!
