For me, AF is as reliable as the sunrise. Comes every month at the exact same time, within 12 hours. However, this month, in a rather desperate effort to conceive, I took quite the concoction of herbs and supplements (Maca, Vitex, prenatals, baby aspirin, natural progesterone cream, extra Folic Acid, Raspberry Leaf Tea) and AF showed up 5 days early. That NEVER happens. Anyone have any suggestions as to why? Did I shorten my cycle somehow?

For those who drink Raspberry Leaf Tea: how many cups per day do you drink, and at what times during your cycle do you drink it?

For those who use PreSeed: do you use just a little as lubricant, or do you actually fill up those little syringe/tube things that come with it and insert it directly up inside yourself? I always feel like that is way too much lubricant, but I want to make sure I'm using it correctly for its full benefit.

And, lastly, does anyone do acupuncture or chiropractic care? I'm wondering which one is the better, more beneficial choice, as I can only afford one at a time.

Thanks!

ive read its standard for 1 in 12 cycles to come early and my years of tracking seem to back that up, no body seems to know why but the majority of people do for some reason

mine was last month when my cycle was only 24 days, I can often have longer periods between a standard 27 and a long 46 days but only one a year that goes down to 24

Just from what I've heard from others, be careful taking too many herbs when you have a really regular cycle. I've seen a few people who've unfortunately have really had their cycles messed up. Specifically, the maca & vitex you took can really mess with those of us that have a regular cycle, so try cutting those out and see how it goes. I just had my first RE appointment and my doctor said that having a regular cycle is a really really good sign that there are no huge, serious issues going on inside. So don't try to fix what isn't broken. Also, about the progesterone cream, which day did you start it? Make sure you start it about 3 days after you confirm ovulation and don't use more than the recommended amount. I don't think the tea, folic acid, baby aspirin or prenatals would have had any effect on your cycle length.

As for the raspberry leaf tea, drinking 1-2 cups prior to ovulation can really help the circulation to your uterus and ensure that you are building a good lining. It shouldn't be taken post O though because it can cause uterine contractions in some women and can mess with implantation.

I don't do either acupuncture or chiropractic, but my friend has done acupuncture for a few months and LOVED it (and got pregnant!). Also look up fertility yoga.. there are some excellent books on amazon. I do my fertility yoga everyday and it makes me feel wonderful. Good luck and I hope you get your BFP soon!!

Hi, I'm 35 and ttc naturally as well, it's been 8 months now and we are still hopeful. If you know your hormones are imbalance vitex is good for that, but do not take progesterone along with vitex because vitex is supposed to naturally balance your hormones by reducing your estrogen, and increasing your progesterone- if that's the problem. I'm taking vitex too, but only 500 mg per day in the a.m. 30 mins before eating. This is the first month and I want to see how my body responds (I did take it about 10 years ago for my periods and it worked well). I do drink raspberry leaf tea too, but not too regularly. I've read a few cups a days is good.

I had an early period (4/5days) a few months ago and I think it was from not ovulating that month and I stress (I think) I went to the doctor, but they didn't give me much information. This road had been a long and stressful one, but I hope all the best.

Are you also exercising and drinking plenty of water? Along with meditation? How old are you? I know my eggs aren't great, so I'm also taking Co-q10 and I am looking into systemic enzyme therapy (that sounds fancy, but it's just supplements).

Good luck

I would definitely recommend speaking to a doctor (maybe a midwife?) about the herbs. Herbs can be just as powerful as medication, which is wonderful because they can really make a big difference, but it also means they can interact with each other negatively just like meds can.

I didn't do some of the stuff you mentioned, but I'm a BIG fan of PreSeed, so i can give you my experience with that.

I DO use the thingy where you put it "up there". (was a bit weird at first, but I did end up liking that I could insert it, then we could go to bed and let things happen naturally, as opposed to having to stop in the moment and put it on)

I would use around half or a bit more of the dosage though. It seemed a bit much otherwise. To my understanding, if you use it just on the outside, it's totally fine, but then you're just basically using it as a safe lubricant. If you want the benefits of the sperm being able to swim easier, it should go inside.

And I agree with the pp... water, water, water, water, water. SOOOOO much water. lol.

I can relate to your feelings though, just want to DO something. Good luck going forward!
