Hey ladies.
6 weeks yesterday and since Monday ive been suffering with terrible nausea but bad hunger at the same time......
The only thing that appeals to me is shreddies with milk...but only a very small bowl full and im having this 4-5 times a day and plain muller rice.
Even making my sons lunchbox in the mornings is impossible...
I manage a small cup of tea in the mornings then sip water throughout the day time.
My tummy is rumbly every hour but nothing atall appeals to me.
Anybody else having this?
Im not complaining and im hoping its a sign of a sticky bean :baby:
I was never like this with DS.

Yes I'm having the same.
I feel a so sick and the throught of eating anything makes it worse. But I am starvimg and SOOOOOOOOOO thirsty!
Brown alison rolls are helping me

I was like that with all 3 dd's, this time I don't have anything as yet so im hoping its a ds :) x

im so glad im not the only one!
Im hoping it eases off soon as i have a massive fear of being sick so feeling sick all the time is so horrible! lol

I'm the same, I've had it since 6 weeks too.. I'd like to say it gets better but unfortunately mine hasn't. 😔

I don't have any advice either, I've tried eating when I'm hungry but that just makes me nauseous and I'm struggling to drink because that come back up too.. it's at its worst now so I'm Hoping it starts to taper off.

So far the only things i can keep down is muller rice and shreddies... i sip water throughout day and have a cuppa tea in mornings....i do have ice lollies in the freezer incase one of the above dont appeal to me anymore...... i cant even look at food on the telly

I was similar with my previous pregnancies. I felt sick up to about 13/14 weeks and the only thing that stopped the sick feeling was eating things like ginger biscuits and dry toast with vegemite. I also put on the most weight in the first trimester!

I haven't felt any MS this time yet but I can't remember when it started with the others...

I lived on ginger biscuits and smoothies for 3 months when pregnant with ds and was just able to eat a normal ish dinner in the evening.
Just eat what you can and when.
Xx

I feel the same. It's like sickness, hunger and thirst feelings all rolled into one. I struggle to eat or even look at food, but have yet to be actually sick. Seem to just randomly gag and feel I have worlds worst hangover 24/7. Even driving makes the sickness feeling worse.

Wasn't like this with my first. I felt sick and was actually sick in the mornings, then the rest of day felt fine. This is horrific :-(

I had MS early on about 6-7 weeks (right about the time i found out I was pregnant). It was horrible. I never had it with DS so it threw me through a loop. I actually lost weight because of so many food aversions. It finally let up about 14 weeks or so. I still get MS but nothing compared to first tri.

Reading the comments i still have a few weeks of this left

Isnt it fun growing a little bean :)
Congrats to us all though and a h&h 9 months for us :happydance:

im hoping that the sickness stays away as I seemed to have detected a pattern that ms seems to be more common in pregnancies that are carrying girls and I love my 3 dd's very much but cant even put into words how amazing it would be to have a ds x

yes it's a good sign! not very pleasant though, my food aversions seem to be tapering off at 10 weeks, keep hydrated, fruit juice and sometimes san pellegrino fizzy natural fruit juice helped. Cereal is good, i had mine with soya milk, until i starting craving ice cold goats milk. Also was worse when tired so try to get plenty rest.

My sickness got so bad that i my GP made me go into hospital for 5 days to have fluids by IV and anti-sickness injections. I couldn't even take sips of water. With DD1 i was exactly the same though, so i sort of expected it. They have given me anti-sickness meds to take home and even though i don't like taking them, they have helped a little bit in that i can now sip water without being immediately sick!

It's awful having to stay in hospital away from DD1 and OH but it was very helpful and made me feel a million times better for having a bit of fluid... so if anyone feels too awful it might be worth going and getting rehydrated!

Hope everyone's feeling ok:flower:

Yes! :happydance: A couple of the midwives in hospital were saying that Hyperemesis (severe sickness in pregnancy like i've got - and sounds like lots of people in here have too!) is more common in pregnancies with girls!!! i don't know if it's an old wives tale but i definitely believe it from what i saw on the ward where i was... almost everyone getting rehydrated for hyperemesis was having girls!

Yup. Same here. Can't bring myself to cook anything either most days. Also lost my brain for cooking and what to put together. I was like this with my son too but it seems worse this pregnancy. I'm feeling like this right now. Heartburn hunger nausea thirst yuck.
13 weeks tomorrow.... Although I have had quite a few good days since 11 weeks. So now it's not all day every day but it is still there.

Oh yes! With my DS I had no nausea whatsoever! I ate and ate and gained like 7lbs in the first trimester. This baby...def not the same! My nausea started around week 6 or 7,... I constantly feel yucky in my stomach, and the I get hunger pains! But when I think about eating something, I want to throw up at the thought of anything! I cant wait intil I can actually sit and enjoy a plate of food!

I know how you all feel. Just as I was thinking I was lucky and missed out on ms, I started slowly going off food. I cant drink too much water at once cause I feel like crap, as if its just sitting in my stomach and feels heavy and bloated. I get hunger pangs, but I'll look through the cupboard and think how revolting it all looks. Orange juice and fresh fruit seems to sit fine, so I'm eating alot of it. Will force some meat etc in though as I've had low iron before.

I found drinking peppermint tea or a lemon ginger tea (when I feel cold), chewing minty gum, or drinking cold ginger beer (when I feel warm/hot) helps the nausea pass. Haven't yet worked out how to keeps these handy at work though. I work in childcare, not allowed to eat or have hot drinks
unless on break...
