Need advice about taking my 9 month old out?

My LO is really picky about where he naps (he will only sleep in his crib)
and he really doesn't like to sit still.

well we were invited to a college basketball game today by a family friend and they even bought James some gear to wear to the game. Well I know the game will interfere with AT LEAST one of his naps and I just don't know what to do when he needs to nap.
Someone help me

Can he manage skipping the nap or will he get very grumpy? If I have nowhere for Maria to nap I just let her stay awake.

Could you not take some of the bedding from his crib with you so he has something familiar to get comfort from x

When was the last time he tried to nap elsewhere? Maybe he'll surprise you!

My lo is the same, I take her sleeping bag with me sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't!!!
