Hey guys,

I am new to this forum. I stopped using the ring in March and my husband and I started ttc in April. I had a cycle after 32 (April 19th) of stopping the ring that was normal. I have not had one since then which means I am at a 45 day cycle. I have taken test after test that all come back negative. I am worried that I am not going to get a period and we really want to start trying again. Can I still get pregnant if I don't have my period??? I use my period tracker and it thinks I should be fertile starting tomorrow but that is based on my 32 day cycle. Please help as I am very new to this and we want a baby. :) Any help would be great.

Coming off BC can throw everything off for a few months. I wouldn't worry just yet. My cycle was never the same again after BC, so I had to let it settle down and then learn the new cycle. It took mine about six months to fall into a routine.
If after a few months it hasn't settled out I would go see or call the doctor. But if you are REALLY going to worry, it won't hurt to ask them now. Stressing really bad about it can cause it to continue to be wonky.
Just remember this thing can take a lot of time. Settle in and settle down. My doctor emails with me so that's nice. Idk if yours is as accessible but it helps my stress level to know I can get a quick answer about things.
Welcome to the forum, BTW! Baby dust to you!!

Thanks for the quick response. I have been on BC since my husband and I first met at the age of 16. I was on the pill for nearly 6 years and the last two years the ring. I am not really stressing about it I just have been waiting so long to finally try that I am excited. We want to try again this month but I haven't had my period, can I still get pregnant without my period??? I read that you can ovulate without having your period???

I know that ovulation comes before the period so just because you haven't had your period yet doesn't mean you aren't going to ovulate. Do you have OPKs? They are very helpful for telling if you're ovulating!
So maybe after your last period your body is just taking a long time to ovulate. That is entirely possible after BC. So I say keep trying! If you can, get some OPKs. I ordered the Wondfo on amazon.com. they are very easy to use! That might help you know when to really go for it!

No I don't have the ovulation kits, we are only trying for 3 months, this is the last month and then putting it on hold until he gets back from a semester abroad. The tests stress me out even more so we have just been trying.

Well then just give it a go! I know some people get more stressed by the tests and some feel less stress to feel like they know something.
Get after it and have fun!

Thanks we are my biggest concern was knowing whether I could even get pregnant without having a period and I think the answer is yes but don't know for 100%. Thanks again. :)
