so i think i'm switching over to ff and need to know can i make up bottles in advance put them in the fridge and just heat them when shes ready to eat?
Yes you can. Make the bottles up, fast cool them (standing them in a bowl of cold water etc), then put them in the fridge and heat as needed.
My disclaimer is that obviously the manufacturer and Govt guidelines don't suggest that you do this. But a lot of Mums on here do - it's entirely up to you
As above, loads of mums do it, but this is what I do
:
Boil the kettle once a day and let it cool. Pour out enough into each bottle as required and add the formula when LO needs a feed. I don't reheat the bottles.
If I am out and about I measure out the water in the bottles and measure out enough formula and use tommee tippee formula pots. When LO needs feeding I add the powder to the water, shake and bung in his mouth. Takes two seconds.
Yup, or you can heat them if you like, if your baby doesn't like room temperature bottles. The bottles with water in them need to be used within 24 hours.
It's entirely up to you which way you prefer to do things
I'm considering giving LO formula (I'm giving her EBM at the moment, but would like to introduce formula so we have options...) and these replies have been super helpful!
