Hi, im 32 weeks pregnant not in work not claiming or earning any money so ive been doing my research and on the phone to jobcentre to be having some sort of money coming in for LO income support clearly states i can from 11 weeks before due date i then got a letter saying i cant claim until baby is 2months old a friend said this is because i wasnt claiming jobseekers that they wont help me until shes born my partner works so she will get the everyday things she needs but surely they cant leave me poor with a newborn for 2months? Which im now worried about not recieving the sure start maternity grant as im off to get the form signed tomorrow at my midwife appointment, is there anything that im missing out on or is jobcentre only caring about paying the druggys and alcoholics again? (No offence to anyone thats on jobseekers!)

your partner works so this will be taken into consideration

don't forget that you will get child benefit (about 80 pounds a month) aside from anything else. I can't really help with the jobseekers and income support I'm afraid.

If your partner works and you live together its unlikely you would get income support
