I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO CONCEIVE FOR 3 YEARS WITH NO SUCCESS
AND MY INSURANCE DOESN'T COVER FERTILITY TREATMENTS OR TESTING SO HERE I AM
My question is
Has anyone ever taking VITEX (Angus cactus)? I am looking into a couple of fertility supplements such as
Vitex 400mg
fertili Tea
Fertilaid
and Fertility blend
I was originally gonna just buy the VITEX capsules but after reading all of the negative side effects I decided to look into other things... Now After ready all of the supplement ingredients I realized that all of them have some type of VITEX in them.... Anyhoo I would like to know if anyone has taking any of these and if so what were the side effects... At this point i'm willing to try anything but I still would like to hear the consequences if any..

Thanks in advance for the responses :flower:

Hi, I can't offer any advice on the supps you listed, but I wanted to give you some advice. My insurance doesn't cover IF at all, which I told my RE when I met with him last year. He coded everything as endometriosis and my insurance covered a lot of stuff. Now we are doing iui's so they don't cover that. I did do a lap & hysteroscopy and insurance covered about 70% of it. I know it's not everything, but it might be something to ask of your doctor!

I was going to tell you a similar response. My insurence does not cover IF treatments either but my doctor ( and RE) coded everything under PCOS and reoccurrent pregnancy loss and my insurence has covered everything. Do you know what your problem is? There are actual MEDICAL issues that can cause IF and so therefore the doctor will be treating your "medical" problem and not your "IF". By treating the "medical" problem they will be trying to fix your IF problem. For example, I originally went to a OBGYN to see why it was taking DH and I so long to concieve (we had been trying for 2 1/2 years by this point). So he did some basic tests, blood tests, ultrasounds etc. That is how he discovered I had PCOS. And PCOS is a medical condition that causes insulin resistance and is linked to irregular cycles and the lack of or absence of ovulation. And we all know if there is no ovulation there is no pregnancy right? So, he treated me for the PCOS which was Metformin for the insulin resistence and Clomid for the ovulation. Of course I did it for 4 cycles and I did not ovulate at all on it. 3 years later I try Clomid again at a much higher dose with a different doctor and I O'd this month! Anyway, the point of this whole thing is you should talk to your obgyn and see if there is a medical reason for you not getting pregnant. I get my Clomid really cheap $10.00 and all my monitoring is coded under obgyn codes for medical reasons so the insurence has been picking up their portion.

I just scheduled another gyn appt for
early august and i'm really gonna make a big stink about the lack of effort everyone seems to be putting into my condition. They basically just diagnosed me with infertility and sent me on my way so now I have no idea whats the underlining cause. And its breaking my heart..
