Need help with ideas next FS meet tomorrow

Hi all,

I have been ttc no4 for almost 2 years now. Im of mature age so am having a bit of trouble concieving this time round even with success for dd at 42 and on round 1, 50mg
anyhow, Ive just done 2 rounds again with no luck so am hoping for some ideas to throw at mt fertility specialist tomorrow of where to go next..If he doesnt already suggest something

Ive heard of trigger shots and IUI..What else is out there? What worked for you?

I cant go the ivf /egg donor route so am hoping to find something that will work along side the clomid.

dh has had sperm count etc done and all great, I just got some menavit for him even though alls well ot cant hurt.
Me: am on blackmores pre conceptions. Had lap and dye pre dd alls well
Bloods show am ovulating and no signs of diminished ovarian reserves
My fsh does occasionally go higher than would like but the FS tells me its not impossible just yet as am still ovulating on the clomid.

I appreciate any help or advice!

Hi Hun

Have you had your tubes checked and everything? Cos sometimes that can help jsut give them a clear out

Yep though be it pre dd, so 3 yrs ago now. i had the lap and dye and I remember he said then that sometimes that in itself is enough to "flush" the tubes and he had heaps of women fall pregnant right after..dd was 1 af after that with clomid so i think it helped.
Wonder if it would help again?

yeah i'd ask them to check again especially if it's been that long i fell the month after my HSG.

Good luck with everything. Other than IVF I can't really think of anything else for you medically. You might want to try acupuncture to help prepare your body for implantation though.

Is good to know another who agrees with acupuncture, I am actually waiting on my call back from them for an appointment as a friend of mine also recommended it so figured it was worth a try as she swears by it for concieving and as you say preperation for implant

Just got home, great news!!!!!! He was incorrect on first set bloods (3 weeks ago) as progesterone was borderline and he "assumed" i ovulated .....but Mondays blood tests show i have without a doubt as was 27! hcg was neg but he said it might have been just that bit early so sent me for more bloods and I ring Monday to see how they are

I asked him if he could tell by that number when I ovulated and he estimates about 2 weeks ago and said AF would be due any day!

And I wondered why I was up 5 times to pee last night and today my boobs sting so either AF is here soon or ive got my bfp (hopefully the latter)
Either way he said no doubts if not that AF will show for me
so am happy either way, hopefully the bfp but if not I can go my 100mg clomid as it is working.

I mentioned IUI etc and he said wait and see what this cycle ends and we go from there with more
so all in all am happy
