I have been ff my LO for a week now. we BF for 3 weeks. I have started her on actimal (spelling) as said was close to BF and we use avent bottles with anto colic valve. Anyway she is feeding every 3 hours inclusing the night and is drinking between 4 and 5 oz a time. She is 4 weeks tommrrow and was 9lb8 a week ago. does that seem like a lot of food? Could it be that the milk or bottles are wrong or is that ok,? Calling HV tommrrow but just wanted advise?

I agree with above. As a general rule babies will only drink the amount they need and if they have too much they'll just sick it up anyway ;)

And it sounds about right to me hon  My little girl was taking about that much at 4 weeks.

she is not very sick after so i dont think she is having to much.

Keep it up, sounds like she's thriving!!!!! So long as she's gaining steadily and following the trends on her percentile chart, you're doing grand. As Jen1604 says, if they have too much, anything they don't need, they bring back. You can't fatten a thoroughbred! Hugs x

Sounds like what my LO was drinking, we use the Avent bottles too, LO is a chunk, by thriving well, I wouldnt worry, she'll stop when shes full!

My LO is 3 and a half weeks and he's on 5-7 oz every 2-3 hours. As the others have said as long as they're happy its fine :) xx
