Hi,

I have seen a few threads around about making gift baskets as Christmas gifts, i love it. But if we do it for a few we kind of want to do it for everyone. We are struggling for ideas for some though, any ideas would be very appreciated please.

So here is my list so far:

Mum - Smellies, eye mask, slippers, candles, bottle of champagne, etc...labelled "Pamper".
Dad - Fly fishing materials...labelled "Catch of the Day".
Brother - No idea...he likes music/guitars and food, but did do a Farmers Market type hamper for him a few years back.
Sister-in-law - Sewing bits, material, threads, buttons, scissors, patterns, etc...labelled "Create" - thanks littleladym :)
Gran - Bulbs, kneeling mat, handmade gardening tool belt, gardening gloves, bird treats, etc...labelled "Nature".
Mother-in-law - Special tea, posh biscuits, book, cup & saucer, etc...labelled "Afternoon Tea" - thanks littleladym :).
Father-in-law - Wine, olives, posh cheese, posh coffee, salami, etc...labelled "Taste".
Brother-in-law - Maybe walking bits...labelled "Explore".
Best friend - PJ's, slippers, book, hot chocolate, mug, etc...labelled "Relax".

Thanks x

Hey. Is your mother in law particularly into tea or coffee. You could get her some speciality ones and maybe a teapot for one with the mug inbuilt kind of thing.

For your sister in law there are some great crafty bargains to be had. Perhaps a sewing hoop, some special threads like metallic ones, a nice pair of scissors, a nice design etc. You could call it create.

Hope that helps a bit.

I love this idea, i may do the pamper one for my cousin and aunty stick in an eye mask, some slippers smellies etc :) I like the idea for SIL is good too, last year i got my best friend a lovely sewing box from BHS was £9.99 i think with all the lil bits in xx

Thanks so much!!

Littlelady -
MIL does like tea and she can only drink from light cups, as she has a muscle disease, so i could get some special teas, a nice light cup and saucer, maybe some posh biscuits, a book and anythign else i can think of....i could call it afternoon tea :).
Ooh i love the idea of calling SIL's create, thats fab!

Rileysmummy - Ooh eye mask is a good one!.

try looking on the special occassions section on the forum on moneysavingexpert.com there is an index thing which lists of types of hampers and ideas.
