Anyone got any good Christmas treat recipes?

I'm in the mood for baking but have no inspiration!

ginger bread trees yummy
if you cut a shape in cardboard and then use a knife to cut round you wont need a cutter!

That is genius!

I think I'm gonna have a go at shortbread trees...

Man if I wasn't snowed in I would go and get cranberries and White chocolate.

I have cranberry sauce and a milk chocolate advent calendar I could use, do you think that would work

stollen?
peppermint creams?
cookies?

best cookies recipe ever:

125g butter, softened
100g light brown soft sugar
125g caster sugar
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 tsp vanilla extract
225g self-raising flour
½ tsp salt
200g chocolate chips**

cream butter and sugars, add egg and vanilla, sift in flour and salt, then choc chips.
180°C, gas mark 4 for 10 or so minutes (leave room for spreading and be sure to make sure they dont get too overdone, just starting to get some tan colour to them is about right)

** You can use all sorts of variations, nuts, toffee, rolos, raisins, chunks of chocolate, fruit.....

Cheers for the recipe, nice and simple, will give that a go tonight.

Didn't get round to the shortbread cos I didn't have enough butter, but I did make a nice apple sponge puddng with melted plum jam

Peppermint creams, great idea! I used to love those. Wouldn't they be cool with edible glitter on them, they would look like snow!

Coconut ice is really easy the kids make it every year at xmas time.
