Need someone to help unscramble my mind please!

Hi my name is Destiny I'm new to this forum and I need some help figuring out OPK results. I'll start with some basics I was on the pill Microgestin low dosage for about five months and it wasn't coping with me well I wasn't getting my period when I was suppose to and I was bleeding when I shouldn't be. I stopped the pill and a month later my fiancé and I decided we'd like to start trying soon. I've had three cycles since then all being very long, the longest being my last cycle which consisted of 38 days. Before taking BC my cycles were much shorter. Anyway on to my real problem. On CD10 I got my first positive OPK I kept testing until CD12 all were positive, I wish I would've kept testing until I got a negative because I didn't get a deep temp dip until CD14. I thought for sure this was O day it was even accompanied by a .32 temp rise on CD15. For the heck of it fiance suggested taking an OPK so I did and to my surprise it was positive! Today is CD16 and my temp went down .14 I took two more OPKs one New Choice brand which was positive the other was First Response and that was negative with the same wee! I need insight before I lose my mind :/ fiance suggests taking a HPT but I don't want to see a BFN I think it's way too early especially since I don't even know when or IF I Od yet! Someone please help me get my thoughts back on track. I've also had a cold for a little over a week I'm not sure if that could be messing with my temps..

I'm not entirely sure, as far as the OPKs go, but just looking at your chart I don't think you've O'd yet. Perhaps your body geared up to O, giving you the positives, and then paused. No idea if a cold could cause that, but I have read that stress can, so I imagine it's possible that a cold could as well. I've only been using OPKs for a couple of months, so still fairly new to them, and had some confusing ones myself this cycle. Hope you see a temp shift and crosshairs soon!

based on your temps, i agree with MrsG i'd say BD as much as you can, at least every other day and hopefully you get a temp rise soon!


Oing at CD16 would make for a really long LP, if your cycles stay consistent at 38 days, so my guess is

1.your body gears up a bunch of times but doesn't ovulate until somewhere closer to CD24, which would be a 14 day LP (though anywhere from 10-16 seems pretty common from what i've read)

or

2. your body is adjusting back to shorter cycles and ovulating around CD17 or 18 is maybe your new normal?

Okay update! Yesterday CD 21 I had a huge temp dip to 97.04 I tested with OPK and got a positive, today CD 22 I have a huge rise to 97.56. Looks promising but I'll have to see what the next couple temps hold for me! Thanks again I will keep everyone posted.

seems crazy to have so many positive OPKs but i would say this temp spike looks like the beginning of something good, right?! hope it goes up and stays up! (and woohoo, CD22 is pretty close to my prediction)

Had a sad a rise of .01 today bringing me to 97.57, better than a drop but I hope tomorrow is a tad more drastic!

Just updating for you guys I've had some dips and rises last rise was today to 98.21 hope it stays up!
