Need your advice if I should go for IUI in the morning...

I'm right at Ovulation time so I get a little crazy poas. lol I use a clearblue fertility monitor and the clearblue digital opks. This morning my monitor was still at high(not peak yet) and my opk was negative. I took another test before lunch and it was still negative. When I took lunch dh and I BD and I had to use the restroom about 30 min after so what did I do, again...Poas...lol to my surprise it was positive So I called my RE and schedueled IUI for in the morning. I held my urine for about 4 hours and now my opk was negative! erg... I just don't know what to think. This might sound stupid, but can sperm that could have leaked out on the stick, cause it to turn positive? We live 2 hours away from our clinic, so I don't want to go waste gas and $300 for the IUI if it's not really time. Would someone look at my chart or tell me what you think. THANKS

I had always gotten two days of +OPKs so I would have waited one more day, especially with a late day positive.

I think as long as you got the smiley face you should be good to go! Do you have EWCM?

thanks girls! no I don't have ewcm, but this stupid clomid drys my cm out. This is my 9th round of it my cm is kinda wet thouh and I'm cramping a little bit, with my cervix being High soft, but not completely open. sorry if TMI! I can't go on Saturday, b/c I'm a hair stylist and I have to do this ladys hair for her wedding. I think I will go in the morning anyway, since I can't go Sat. I'll re test in a few hours.

You might just have a short surge. So it's entirely possible for it to be pos and then negative in a short time frame. Have you used opk's before? Do you usually get multiple positives?

Thanks! I have used opks for about 2 years now and I usually have multiple surges. My body doesn't do what I want it to! I think we will go anyway just incase.but a blaring positive would be nice!! Where are u guys at in your cycle?

Today when I got the positive it was pretty dark (digital smiley) but the lines were also dark, then a few hrs later when it was negative again it was lighter, and now a few more hours the second line is barely there... Do tiu think I just caught my surge. Is it possible to have that short of lh surge?

Yes your surge can be as little as a couple of hours! When you go in ask them to do an u/s, it might not be 100% clear what going on but they will be able to see if ovulation has already happened. I am gearing up for my first ivf round, went in last Wednesday (cd15) and my doctor said he could see what he thought was the remenants of the corpus luteum and ovulation was confirmed by bloodwork.

Thanks girls!!! Dh post wash was 5.5 mil pretty low but it only takes one anyone have that low of numbers and still got BFP?
