I am new to this forum but my husband and I have been TTC #1 for 16 cycles. This is our last round of Clomid if we do not have better results, the RE wants to begin injectables with IUI in September.

A little about our journey. Before TTC I had a full workup done as my gyn thought I may have PCOS, due to weight gain and excess facial hair. She did ultrasounds, an insulin resistance test and other blood tests, which all came back normal. She did not anticipate issues TTC.

We TTC on our own for about six months. After that we visited our first RE and my husband had a semen analysis that came back fine. I was put on vitamin B12 and D supplements and we were told to keep on trying for another six months and if we did not get pregnant to return.

I went back to my doctor after a year and she said she would not help us until I had a BMI of 30 or below. Its at a 32 currently. I run at least 3 times a week. So that lead us to doctor #3 in April.

I had six anovulatory cycles before beginning clomid. I have been temping and using OPK’s for over a year.

In April I had my day 3 blood workup done, and she said there was no sign of early menopause. I took Clomid 50 days 5-9 that month. I did ovulate, not until day 25 and my progesterone was only a 12.14.

In May the Dr. upped the dose to 100 mg days 5-9. I ovulated on day CD 13 but my progesterone was still only a 10. I developed a cyst on my right ovary after this round.

In June the Dr. preformed an HSG and the left tube was clear, the right tube was forced open with the dye. I took 100mg Clomid CD 5-9. I didn’t ovulate until day 24 and only had a progesterone level of 7.

So this cycle the Dr. has changed my 100mg of Clomid to CD 3-7 in hopes of earlier ovulation.

Sorry for such a long post. I am curious if other people had low progesterone levels on Clomid? Any advice, suggestions?
