new here - first cycle ttc

Hi! I am very new to this! I am on my first cycle ttc.

I used First Response ovulation strips and then switched to Clearblue digital because it was much easier to understand with the smiley faces. On Friday 10/24, the smiley face was blinking, so I had high fertility (according to the package). Saturday 10/25 and Sunday 10/26 the smiley face didn't flash so I was at Peak fertility (according to the package). We bd'ed once each day, Fri, Sat and Sun. I'm a little unclear which day exactly I ovulated...my Ovia app says 10/24 and Fertility Friend says 10/25.

Now I feel like I have some cramps, almost like period cramps. I'm trying not to fill my head with anything or to get my hopes up too much since this is only our first try. But hoping for the best!

I guess I'm kind of just looking for some encouragement!

Hi ladies! I wish I could be more helpful. I'm also new, on my second cycle ttc. I don't use opks, I'm using bbt instead because I think it's a lot easier. Good luck! Fx that this is the cycle for all 3 of us to get BFPs :-D

Hey there. I am on a break from ttc but have been through a few 2ww. Welcome!

Let me just say, I am 4 dpo with AF cramps as well. No chance of pregnancy here. A lot of things will happen and it may seem like a symptom but it is really simply the progesterone. Now that you are TTC you will notice EVERYTHING! I would say relax but you won't lol.

Some of the fun is symptom spotting but can also become stressful. Good luck

I'm going through the same thing right now! This was our first cycle of ttc. AF was suppose to start yesterday and then today I had some light brown spotting but only when I wiped (sorry, lol). I also had a lot of cramping about 10 days before AF was suppose to come and those lasted for about 7 days. I'm waiting a few more days to see if AF will come in full; I kind of wish she would so that I would know for certain. Not knowing/waiting is so difficult!! I hope everything goes well for you and you get a BFP!!

hey ladies. I am also on my first month ttc. Bigbabyb808 looks like we are in sync, af arrived here too last night. was 3 days early for me though. lets hope month 2 is the lucky one!

This stinks!! But it is nice to know there are other people out there on the same schedule/cycle who can relate! I'd love to keep in touch with you all as we go through this process to share info! Hey ladies I'm also new here, we are on our 2nd month of ttc #1. Last month I used clearblue opk and it seemed pretty accurate, although I have heard others have more negative opinions on it. This month I have started temping and I also bought another clearblue opk, started the strips today as this is my 9CD. Thinking I should ovulate the 15th-16th if its similar to last month. Ttc isn't so bad, minus the waiting :/ !

AF expected November 18th

"Symptoms", or whatever I am making up in my head:
5dpo- lower back pain, increased CM, NO BBS pain(?!), abdominal cramping(Although my lactose intolerance makes it hard to know what it could be related to!)

Awww I am so sorry you somehow got lost in the crowd. I make posts and get zero replies sometimes as well. I also get a lot of love on other posts. Anyway, congratulations on your BFP!! So happy for you! And you did it on your first try.

Lol I know life gets busy, I'm in nursing school...I have ZERO life! I was just thinking of this thread and was wondering why I hadn't gotten any email notifications!

I'm not really complaining that no one replied, more of was just stating my farewell to this website, no hard feelings! Of course I was hoping to make new friends to chat with during "the" wait, but am now really hoping that other people have made good chat buddies here!

Really happy that these sites exist, as the struggle of going through this "alone" isn't a fun one! Very thankful my wait wasn't long and I wish the best to everyone else!

Congratulations Harley_chick!!! Sorry I hadn't replied, I'm so bad about keeping up with this. Looks like it's a good month though, I got my BFP today too.

congrats harley and perfect one!!!! That is sooo exciting, so how many DPO were you gals when you tested ???

I am 11 DPO and had BFN's so far wondering how long to wait to retest??

Congrats again!!!! Lets hope Nov is lucky for more of us too!!
