New here, gearing up for 1st Clomid/IUI cycle

Ok...so I couldn't wait until tomorrow morning. When DH got home from work, we did a test and it come back as a !!!!

I cannot believe it. This was our 20th cycle of TTC, and we were getting really discouraged. I am in shock. I have never seen 2 lines on a pregnancy test before until now. Taking deep breaths....

OMG! What a AMAZING NEWS! I am soooo happy for you! After 20th cycle, wow! You give me hope cause I am right behind you. CONGRATS and here's to a H&H 9 months. Keep us updated on the bloods and scans!

Officially on 3dpo/IUI now!

FF gave me crosshairs.

I have a progesterone draw this Friday to confirm ovulation, and an hcg draw next Friday to see if I'm pregnant. Like I won't be testing at home by then LOL!!!

WOOHOO! Day 3 almost day 4! We have our beta's on the same day! Do you find out that day? I find out by 3pm but after getting a negative at work on the first cycle, I think I will wait and have DH check the message after work and tell me the news.........

SO, I haven't worked in a month since I got laid off. Today was my first day at my new job. I had such a hard time finding pants that would fit! ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR! Now I have NO pants?????? WTF. 1 month and they are all (almost all) tight!

1hopefull~ I've felt like MY pants are a smidgen tighter too- I want to blame it on Clomid.. but I dunno. I just have felt bloated this whole month. NOT a nice feeling. I know it's easy to say (because it'd be HARD for me!) but try not to worry about it~ and know that it's because you're trying to conceive. This is what DH told me the other night when I was telling him about my worrying about the no running part for a bit~ and he said "Well, if you gain weight because you're trying to conceive- that is totally different than bringing 2 bags of doritos to the couch and being lazy." And he IS right!

Beau Geste~ I have turned into a POAS officially this month! I am ANXIOUSLY awaiting for the positive OPK...

The OPK's are getting darker and darker and I can see it building up and I'm like screaming JUST BE POSITIVE ALREADY!! I will place money on the fact that positive OPK will happen today or tomorrow.. I am REALLY feeling that it will be.. which is a good thing~ I want it to happen before the weekend so I don't have to have the doctor paged to go in on my account!!!

Thanks Hope12! I actually had the IUI this morning... so now I am just waiting!!! Everything went well thankfully. Dh's sperm looked better than it did when we first had the SA done.. I think they said 37 million after the wash.. and he only had 19 million last time when we had the analysis done so A LOT better!!! I am pretty much relaxing all day today... nice to do ... I can't remember the last time I just sat around, haha! Ready to test now!!! Where is that fast forward button! Praying hard it was successful!!

Looking @ it~ my doc said to test about 2 days before AF is due... which would make it January 19th. I am not sure that I'll hold off that long, lol.. we'll see!!

Update:
kinda been bummed, normal routine with AF.
The earliest I can try again will be in March sometime, when I turn 41 and as you know- it can and probably will become more difficult.

Wooops...guess I was a day late. Glad to hear your DH's numbers were nice and high Holly. So now the 2ww has begun!!

Not sure if I shared this bit of information on this thread or another one, but I've been going to a fertility yoga classes for the past number of months and my yoga teacher gave us a really good tip for the 2ww - plan something nice for yourself each day of the 2ww, so you have something to look forward to every day, instead of just waiting for the 2 weeks to be over. I tried it this past month on a few days (not all 14) and it was helpful.

Anyways, got my FX'd for all of you. Over on my side....feeling crampy (but hear that's part of the early pregnancy), went for my bloods a couple of days ago (they were 251 on 15dpo, which I think is well in the normal range), and am going to see my doctor tomorrow for a very first appointment. It's slowly sinking in...as is the anxiety that I'm still in the very very very early stages. So am approaching this whole journey with cautious optimism.

Single_andTTC~ I'm sorry I understand how you feel but definitely try and be positive about it.. I don't believe that the minute you turn this age or that age that your chances drop.. I think there are a lot of factors and that it's more of a guideline! Just do what you can and have faith! I'll be praying for you!!

Hope_12~ that is a great idea to try and have something to look forward to each part of the 2ww. I am really honestly relaxed about it... I think I was more antsy last month WITHOUT the IUI. I feel like we've done the best that we can.. as much BD'ing as possible... vitamins, etc.. timing of the IUI.. and it's really not in our hands @ this point and if it happens.. .. and if it doesn't~ then it's not time yet and we'll just keep pressing forward. I definitely took it easy yesterday- no gym- and quite frankly I didn't feel like doing anything. I went to the grocery store for a few things and wished I had stayed home because I was crampy. I am planning on going for a walk today instead of the gym~ it's SO nice out.. supposed to be 60 degrees.. so it will be a good day and I find walks relaxing too!

I had cramps when I got preggo with my son 8-9 years ago Hope_12.. it was literally the only symptom I had at first --- and THEN the nausea set in and let me tell you- WOAH NELLY- I was puking every 2 seconds haha. It's still early though and it means your uterus is starting to expand some- 100% normal! I am sooo excited for you!!!!! Do you have any names picked out??

Gah! 7dpo and no signs/symptoms whatsoever. Except I was really moody last night, but also very tired from little sleep in 48 hours.

Finally getting over a sinus infection that I've had for 3 weeks! I think it's turning into a head cold though so I won't be well for another few days.

I guess I'll start testing tomorrow at 8dpo? I know I should wait, but I can't LOL!

Beau Geste~ that stinks that you've had a sinus infection! Hope you feel better! It's still technically VERY early for symptoms and sooo many women don't have any until later on ... I was wondering this morning if I would have any symptoms and I told myself if I dont- to not be disappointed. 8DPO is CERTAINLY very early to test.. I think as long as your well aware of that and not reading too much into it ~ then go ahead! My doc said to wait until 2 days before AF is due which is January 19th- 13DPO. I haven't quite decided how soon I will test.. whether I will wait until then or not. Gosh I am soooooo praying for ALL of us that we get our BFP's!!!!!!!!!!!!

7 dpiui! half way. i am on the progesterone suppositories so i can't tell what my 'symptoms' are from but i know the hunger is from the prog, arrrr!

Single- sorry you are feeling so down hun. you are not alone, there are a bunch of other women trying to do the same at 40+. you are amazing strong for going through this. please don't give up.
